When the annual Nut Festival comes to Porkbelly, Johnny is excited to be able to participate. Unfortunately, his mom thinks that running with the squirrels in the festival is too dangerous and won't let him go. Now it's up to Susan, Mary, and Dukey to help him sneak out and be a part of the festival.

- Action Mom: Lila Test goes to great lengths to keep Johnny from running with the squirrels, including trying to shoot him down in an aerial dogfight, operating a crane to put a huge cage over him, and chasing him on a motorcycle.
- Animal Stampede: Johnny wants to participate in Porkbelly’s annual Running of the Squirrels, in which squirrels stampede through the town retrieving all of the nuts they buried in the winter.
- Flying Broomstick: After Johnny and Dukey fly off on a rocket-powered lawn chair built by his sisters, his mom follows him on a flying broom.
- Iris Out: The episode ends on an Iris Out of a squirrel holding two nuts and laughing.
- Monster in the Moat: To keep Johnny in his room, his mom created a moat around the house filled with sharks.
