Lt. Gordon (Charles Homet) is accused of crashing into a civilian helicopter over the Italian Alps. Rabb, Mac and Roberts are sent to Italy; Rabb offers to look in on Chegwidden's daughter Francesca (Giuliana Santini).
Rabb takes Congresswoman Latham (Anne Marie Johnson) on a ride on an F-14 to try to reproduce Gordon's maneuvers. With the help of Chegwidden's daughter Francesca, Rabb discovers that Gordon's F-14 almost crashed with a home-made aircraft piloted by the maker's daughter, causing him to ascend and crash with the helicopter.
