Ainz and Tanya are at odds over something apparently important, to the point that they seem ready to clash with each other. Subaru tries to get the two of them to stop, and Kazuma asks what is getting everyone so riled: it turns out that they disagree over what condiment one should put on karaage chicken
(with Ainz favoring ketchup while Tanya prefers salt and pepper), which Viktoriya had previously mentioned having seen in the nearby butcher's. When Ainz and Tanya ask Subaru what he would put on karaage chicken, he says mayonnaise, putting him at odds with the two of them, much to his confusion.
Rerugen interrupts the discussion by reminding them that they are supposed to be in class, ensuring everyone takes their seats - and Rerugen begins teaching about conflict resolution, using the previous discussion as the basis for the class. Rerugen has everyone vote on their preferred condiment for karaage chicken, with mayonnaise winning by a slight majority. Subaru begins to rub it in, but Ainz and Tanya tell him to shut up. Since the discussion does not seem to be ending any time soon, Rerugen proposes a three-way dodgeball match, conscripting Naofumi, Raphtalia and Filo to round up the numbers.
The three teams meet in the grounds, and the match begins with Viktoriya and Mohawk Guy commenting. Darkness gets taken out quickly when she lets the ball hit her. Ram and Rem make a combo move with Cocytus where the latter sends them up in the air so they can kick the ball, a move Aura and Mare repeat with Weiss with less than stellar results - and both pairs of twins get kicked out of the game for kicking the ball. Neumann tries to pass the ball to Tanya, but Kazuma uses Steal to take it, and Aqua fires it at Ainz, only for Albedo to summon a magical wall by performing a submission move on Grantz. Chomosuke grabs the ball and fires it at Subaru, who complains about Chomosuke not being a normal cat while Megumin claims it is perfectly normal, and Subaru averts being hit only when Beatrice uses her magic to send him into the air. Emilia takes the ball, has Puck infuse it with magic and then throws it at Naofumi, who summons the Wrath Shield to deflect the ball, much to Raphtalia's shock.
As day turns into afternoon the game continues, and Ainz declares it is time to end the game. Megumin makes a suggestion to him: make a combo move by combining their explosive magic and then shooting the ball at Tanya. Tanya creates a defensive shield to protect herself, and the ball finally explodes, putting an end to the game. However, by now none of them even remembers why they were fighting, but they all (along with Naofumi) agree it was a dumb reason. Ainz and Tanya apologize to each other for being childish, and Viktoriya suggests going out to buy croquettes. But then Tanya mentions no one would put anything but salt and pepper on croquettes, apparently nearly setting off another argument.
