• Bait-and-Switch: At first Megumin agrees with Kazuma that pressing the big red button is bad news but then, comes to the conclusion it's going to happen anyway and presses it herself.
• Call-Back: The Sorcerer Kingdom's discussion about the Baharuth Empire and their take-over of E-Rantel proves that the series take place after Season 3/Volume 9.
• Human Shield: Ram orders Subaru to sacrifice himself to the very suspicious and dangerous looking classmates. Keep in mind, Ram doesn't know about Return by Death.
• Laughing Mad: Tanya goes into this and her men are freaked out by it.
• Sadistic Choice: Tanya was in a middle of testing new gear found herself having two buttons when there was only one. She has to pick one otherwise she'll die. Unsure which is the right button, she gave up and pressed both of them.
• Tempting Fate: Subaru expresses joy that he and his friends would do something that is non-death related. Just when he was about to finish that sentence, he sees his new classmates.
• Too Dumb to Live: Kazuma's party members are this when they encountered the Overlord cast and started insulting them or wanting to pick a fight with them or both. Had they continued, Ainz and co. would have most likely killed all of them.
• Who Would Be Stupid Enough?: Ainz is smart to know the big red button was suspicious. He thinks only an inexperienced player or someone really stupid would press it. Cue Aqua, Darkness and Megumin to prove his point.
