Main Story

     Prologue: Herta Space Station

A pair of Stellaron Hunters, two women named Kafka and Silver Wolf, infiltrate Herta's Space Station in the chaos of an attack by the Antimatter Legion, who they lured to the station following the "script" of their leader, someone named Elio. The two of them find a Stellaron, a semi-sentient object of great power, locked in a hidden room on the station. At that point, the two women reveal a humanoid receptacle for the Stellaron ("The Trailblazer," either the feminine version, Stelle, or the masculine version, Caelus, by default), and embed the Stellaron inside them. Before leaving, Kafka tells The Trailblazer some cryptic words, and to not forget about her.

A short time later, The Trailblazer regains consciousness next to a pair of Trailblazers: a cheerful girl named March 7th and a taciturn young man named Dan Heng. After the Trailblazer picks up a glowing bat to defend themselves, the trio battles their way through the station to find Arlan, the Security Chief, and then Asta, the Head Researcher.

After only a brief moment of respite, the station is attacked again by a wave of Antimatter Legion emerging through The Fragmentum, and a massive monster known as the Doomsday Beast. With the intervention of the Trailblazers' Navigator, a woman named Himeko, the crew manages to defeat the Doomsday Beast, but in its death throes, the Beast unleashes a giant laser on the station. The Trailblazer throws themselves in front of the attack to save March, but does not die, instead hearing a voice telling them to "reach the end of the story" as they absorb its destructive power. As they see visions of a possible future, The Trailblazer earns the attention of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction.

At the last minute, Welt Yang knocks The Trailblazer unconscious before the Stellaron's power within them explodes out of control. The Trailblazer wakes up later to find Himeko offering them passage on the Astral Express wherever they go. Before they can decide, a puppet of a little girl named Herta appears and also suggests the Trailblazer travel with Himeko, but only after testing out her Simulated Universe, where Herta and other members of the Genius Society hope to find out more about the Aeons who oversee their universe.

After completing a round of the Simulated Universe, The Trailblazer speaks to multiple people on the station before making their decision, and they decide to join The Nameless, the crew of the Astral Express. After exchanging introductions with the crew of the Astral Express, the space-train warps to a planet called Jarilo-VI.

Alternate Ending

If the Trailblazer's final decision is to remain on the station, the Astral Express departs to its next destination. Herta and the Trailblazer help rebuild the space station and begin researching the Stellaron, but Herta soon gets bored and wanders off, leaving the Trailblazer to their own devices.

Asta then arranges for them to become a researcher on the station. The Trailblazer leads a comfortable life and even welcomes the Astral Express back when they visit on a few occasions. At some point in the future, the Trailblazer hears of rumors that the Astral Express and the Stellaron Hunters both vanished in a way that might spell doom for the universe, but those rumors are not their concern.

     Chapter 1: Jarilo-VI

The Astral Express enters the orbit of Jarilo-VI to find the planet covered in ice, and the train unable to safely move away, both due to the effects of a Stellaron somewhere on the surface. The Trailblazer goes with March 7th and Dan Heng to the one spot on the planet that still shows signs of human life, hoping to find answers to the planet's condition, and the Stellaron.

After trudging through snowy plains, the trio stumble upon a swindler named Sampo Koski who offers to take them to Belobog, the last bastion of human civilization on the planet. However, Sampo quickly disappears when Gepard Landau and the Silvermane Guard show up and threaten to arrest everyone. March manages to convince Gepard to escort them into Belobog, and gives them a brief history of how the land was set ablaze 700 years ago before the "Eternal Freeze" descended on the planet.

Gepard escorts the trio to Cocolia, the Supreme Guardian of Belobog, who welcomes them and offers to help them locate and seal the Stellaron. The Nameless take the time to explore the city and speak with a few of its residents before sleeping in their provided hotel. However, the next morning, they are surrounded by Silvermane Guards led by Bronya Rand, on charges of inciting rebellion against Cocolia. The trio escape by leaping into the Fragmentum and land in the back alleys of Belobog, but are doggedly pursued by Bronya and her guards.

Suddenly, Sampo reappears, using gas grenades to put everyone nearby to sleep, and drags them into the Underworld. The Trailblazer has visions of Cocolia making a deal with the Stellaron, before they wake inside a medical clinic run by a woman named Natasha. After getting their bearings, the Trailblazer reunites with their companions, first finding March playing hide-and-seek with some local children, then helping Dan Heng win a cage fight against some robots.

Now reunited, the trio catch Sampo hiding nearby, who offers to help them meet with a local militia called Wildfire for his own survival. He leads them to a woman named Seele, who is in the process of saving Bronya from local vagrants. Seele will not let them meet the Chief of Wildfire until she defuses a situation at the Geomarrow mine between the miners and robots led by a powerful, old mech named Svarog.

With no other leads, the Nameless decide to help Seele and talk to Svarog, but Svarog refuses to negotiate with them, believing only in his cold logic of Preservation.

The Nameless rest in a nearby hotel, but The Trailblazer has another dream of Cocolia and the Stellaron and cannot sleep. They wander outside the hotel, and get roped into scouring Rivet Town with Seele and Bronya to find more medical supplies for Natasha. After rescuing a kid and acquiring supplies, the group come across an abandoned orphanage where Seele and Bronya both grew up, and the two women share a moment together. The Trailblazer also comes across Clara, the only human whom Svarog seems to trust, and gives her a few supplies for the vagrant camp near her home.

The following day, the Nameless try again to reason with Svarog, as he remains their only lead to find the Stellaron. However, the robots won't let in any humans except Clara to see him, so they attempt to placate Clara by fixing some machines in the area and protecting her from Fragmentum monsters.

Eventually, she allows them to meet with Svarog, but Svarog is still unconvinced of the Nameless' intentions, and attacks the group. After blows are exchanged, Clara manages to stop Svarog from fighting further, and convinces him to give the Nameless a chance, as he now agrees they are an independent variable that could change Belobog for the better.

The following day, Seele and Sampo sneak the Nameless back to the Overworld. However, they find that Bronya has gone ahead on her own, leaving behind a note that she hopes to persuade Cocolia to end the discrimination against the Underworld. Cocolia then takes Bronya to visit the Stellaron, hoping to persuade her of its necessity.

Serval, a former Architect and friend of Cocolia, hides the Nameless from the Silvermane Guards and tries to escort them into the Restricted Zone. However, the guards soon see through her ruse and begin attacking them, along with Gepard. Serval stays behind to deal with her brother and the guards, as the Nameless and Seele fight their way through Fragmentum Echoes to get to the top of Everwinter Hill, where the Stellaron resides.

At the top of the hill, the Stellaron and Cocolia are slowly brainwashing Bronya, but Seele arrives in time to break Bronya out of their influence. Bronya tries to reason with Cocolia again, but Cocolia refuses to change her view, and then attacks the Nameless. First she calls upon a giant robot called the Engine of Creation, until it loses an arm thanks to Himeko firing a giant laser at it from space.

Next, Cocolia herself attacks the Trailblazer with the added powers of the Stellaron, impaling them with a large icicle and seemingly killing them. However, they wake up in a different universe where they meet with an avatar of the Aeon of Preservation, who offers to give them a new power if they pledge to preserve the future of Belobog.

The Trailblazer suddenly wakes up in the real world, healed and with the icicle that impaled them transformed into a flaming lance. With this new weapon, and the ability to temporarily command the damaged Engine of Creation, the Trailblazer and the Nameless defeat Cocolia, who then explodes from the Stellaron's power.

Bronya and Seele agree to spread the lie that Cocolia sacrificed herself to seal the Stellaron, while removing all restrictions between the Overworld and Underworld of Belobog, in order to bring back peace to the land. After sealing the Stellaron, the Astral Express crew say their goodbyes to the people of Belobog before heading to their next destination.

     Chapter 2: Xianzhou Luofu

Before the Astral Express can head to their next destination, Kafka sends the Nameless a message that her colleague Blade is imprisoned on the Xianzhou flagship, the Luofu. Kafka further guilts the Nameless by mentioning that there is a Stellaron somewhere on the ship that might explode if left unchecked. Though the Nameless suspect that Kafka is luring them into a trap, the majority of the crew vote to travel to the Luofu to find out the truth. Dan Heng is reluctant to return, as the Xianzhou reportedly have a standing warrant for his head if he returned, so Welt Yang takes his place in the boarding party.

The Astral Express gets permission to dock at a nearby shipping port, though the Nameless find the port largely abandoned except for mutated men in armor roaming the area. The Trailblazer, March, and Welt Yang save a Foxian merchant named Tingyun from soldiers, and she thanks them by taking them to the Starskiff Haven on the Luofu, and further into the Palace of Astrum, the seat of the Sky-Faring Commission.

In the Palace of Astrum, they are met by Madam Yukong, who refuses their help and suspects the Nameless of working with the Stellaron Hunters, as Silver Wolf hacked their systems to give the Astral Express docking privileges in the first place. However, General Jing Yuan intervenes and offers to let the Astral Express stay if they will track down Kafka for him. Tingyun takes the Nameless to a nearby hotel for the night, and tells them that Kafka's last transmission hints that she's hiding out in the Stargazer Navalia shipyards. The Trailblazer tries to update Dan Heng via text message, but he is unreachable.

Meanwhile, with Dan Heng realizing that Blade is on the Luofu, he decides he can't sit by and leave him alone, so he enters the Luofu himself to catch up with his crewmates. Along the way, he helps out a rookie Cloud Knight named Sushang, and a mysterious merchant named Luocha.

The following day on the Luofu, the Nameless and Tingyun use a small dog-like Diting to track down Kafka at Stargazer Navalia. Though she leads them into a trap and attacks with brainwashed Cloud Knights, when the Master Diviner Fu Xuan intervenes, Kafka suddenly surrenders to her with no further conditions. Tingyun tries to drive the group to the Divination Commission, but due to mechanical issues, is forced to dock at the Exalting Sanctum instead. Fu Xuan takes Kafka and heads to the Divination Commission herself.

After some time, Fu Xuan sends an underling named Qingque to escort the Nameless to the Matrix of Prescience in the Divination Commission, where Kafka is being held captive. After activating the Matrix core, Fu Xuan is shocked to discover that Kafka did not smuggle a Stellaron onto the Luofu, but came for the Trailblazer's benefit. When the Trailblazer speaks to Kafka, she confirms that her trap was following a script set by Elio to create a future where the Xianzhou are indebted to the Astral Express, all to create a possible path that could lead to Nanook's death in a battle of "Aeonic proportions."

Suddenly, the long-dormant Ambrosial Arbor begins to bloom again as Blade breaks Kafka free, and the two escape in the confusion. Fu Xuan reports her findings to Jing Yuan, who recognizes that there must be a traitor somewhere on the Luofu who allowed the Denizens of Abundance to smuggle in a Stellaron that revived the Arbor. Jing Yuan then tasks the Nameless and Fu Xuan to help him stop the Arbor from spreading further. First by defeating a giant deer that protects the roots of the great tree at the Artisanship Commission, then by heading towards the source through the Alchemy Commission.

At the Alchemy Commission, the Nameless and Tingyun confront the traitor who leads the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, Dan Shu, who has stopped hiding and attacks the group. However, she is defeated by the Nameless. At this point, Tingyun reveals that she is actually Phantylia, a Lord Ravager of Destruction, who has been using the identity of Tingyun to destroy the Xianzhou of Luofu from the inside. After snapping Tingyun's neck, she summons Antimatter Legion soldiers to attack the Nameless. The Nameless fight them off, but question whether there was a real Tingyun, and if she was still alive, or if she was a fake body used by Phantylia all along.

With time running out and an Emanator of Destruction threatening the Luofu, the Nameless rush to Scalegorge Waterscape. Not far behind is Dan Heng, who decides to split from his temporary companions to reach the same location. At this point, he ends up fighting both Blade and Yanqing, but Blade impales him on his sword, causing him to remember his past life as Dan Feng, the Imbibitor Lunae and former leader of the Vidyadahra on the Xianzhou. After the Stellaron Hunters leave, considering their job accomplished, Jing Yuan reminisces with Dan Heng about their respective pasts, before reuniting with the other Nameless.

Dan Heng then reaches into his memories as the Imbibitor Lunae and creates a path through the Waterscape, allowing Jing Yuan and the Nameless to reach the heart of the Ambrosial Arbor. However, Phantylia is waiting for them, using the power of the Stellaron as well as powers derived from both Paths of Abundance and Destruction. As Jing Yuan, Dan Heng, and the Nameless are locked in a desperate struggle, Phantylia briefly gains the upper hand and tries to transform Jing Yuan into an Antimatter soldier. However, this gives the attackers an opening to strike Phantylia and banish her from the Luofu.

Some time later, Dan Heng returns to his present form and Jing Yuan awakens from a long sleep. After the Nameless say their goodbyes to various people on the Luofu, Jing Yuan gifts the Astral Express a relic that will let them summon the Xianzhou Cloud Knights to assist wherever they choose to activate it, though he warns them not to use it for petty reasons. With the Stellaron Crisis aboard the Luofu resolved, the Astral Express departs for their next destination before Kafka sent the message, a festive world known as Penacony.

Meanwhile, back on the Luofu, Jing Yuan discovers both Luocha and a mysterious swordswoman at the Shackling Prison, who do not deny their part in smuggling the Stellaron onto the Luofu, but claim their intentions are ultimately to destroy the Aeon of Abundance.

     Chapter 3: Penacony

Some time after the Stellaron Crisis on the Luofu and multiple other events have been resolved, the Astral Express is finally traveling to Penacony, partly responding to the invitation extended to them by The Family that runs the Planet of Festivities, and partly to find out what happened to three former Trailblazers who stayed on Penacony after The Nameless visited the world long ago: Tiernan (the guard), Legwork (the mechanic) and Razalina (the surveyor). During the warp jump, The Trailblazer finds themselves in a dreamscape with a Galaxy Ranger named Acheron. Acheron asks them cryptic questions, and claims that the Trailblazer sounded oddly familiar, before bidding them farewell and cutting them down with a sword. The Trailblazer then wakes up in their seat on the Astral Express as the space train arrives in Penacony's orbit, but Pom-Pom notices them crying.

Finally, the Astral Express crew enter The Reverie, a giant hotel and entrance to the Dreamscape that Penacony is known for. At first, the Trailblazer is not on the guest list, as they were not in the Nameless when the Astral Express received the invitation. However, an IPC agent named Aventurine steps in and vouches for them to Family member Sunday and his sister, the famous singer, Robin. Afterwards, the crew gets assigned their own rooms and respective pods to travel into the Dreamscape. The Trailblazer crash-lands in the Golden Hour, a time where day never comes. After exploring a bit, they rescue a girl named Firefly from members of the Bloodhound Gang, Penacony's security force. Firefly takes them around the Dreamscape to explore the various shops and games there, and soon run into Sampo, who somehow traveled into the same Dreamscape, who introduces the Trailblazer to the Adventures of Hanu and other sights.

Even after Sampo tries to introduce doubt about Firefly, the Trailblazer joins with Firefly again on a rooftop elsewhere in the Dreamscape, where she reveals she is technically a stowaway, but has a rare, incurable disease causing her body to slowly waste away, and wanted to spend her last moments in the Dreamscape instead of dealing with the reality of that disease. The Trailblazer tries to return to reality with Firefly to meet up with the rest of the Nameless, but is stopped by Sampo, who reveals himself to be a different Masked Fool known as Sparkle, and Sparkle forcibly sends both The Trailblazer and Firefly into a different Dreamscape that functions more like a warped version of the Reverie. The Trailblazer tries to find a way out with Firefly, until they are both attacked by a vicious memetic monster. However, they are able to escape thanks to Black Swan, a Memokeeper from the Garden of Recollection who intervenes on their behalf.

Back in the real Reverie, after comparing notes, the Nameless are suspicious of Black Swan's intentions, but agree to work with her to find out the truth behind Penacony and their Charmony Festival. However, Himeko reveals that the Stellaron Hunters have sent them a message, through Silver Wolf, about their involvement on Penacony, and a code to access a section of the Dreamscape Reverie that is "under renovation." There are multiple factions now involved with the Dreamscape at the same time aside from The Nameless: The Family themselves with their Bloodhound security, the IPC with Aventurine, the Garden of Recollection with Black Swan, the Masked Fools through Sparkle, the self-proclaimed Galaxy Ranger named Acheron, and the Stellaron Hunters with Sam.

With Black Swan's help, the Trailblazer meets up with Acheron in a deeper part of the Dreamscape, and they later reunite with Firefly in a simulacrum of the Reverie's lobby, only for her to be killed by the same memetic monster from before. The trio then uncover some of Firefly's last memories in the Dreamscape, where she was betrayed by someone else she allied with. They return to the lobby to find that person is Sam, who then attacks them. As Sam and Acheron get locked into battle, Black Swan teleports the Trailblazer away to meet with Aventurine elsewhere in the Dreamscape Reverie. Aventurine admits that Black Swan was working with him, but sincerely looking out for the Trailblazer's safety. Furthermore, Acheron couldn't be trusted, as she may not be a Galaxy Ranger herself, or an invitee to Penacony, having killed the Grand Duke Inferno en-route to Penacony and stolen his gang's invitation.

Aventurine then gives the Trailblazer an offer to work with him to find out the truth that Penacony is hiding behind the Charmony Festival. The Trailblazer follows him into a room in the Dreamscape Reverie and sees what appears to be the lifeless corpse of Robin, while Aventurine says he's going to make a deal that the Trailblazer can't refuse. Suspecting Acheron of being behind Robin's death, he thinks she is the key to exposing the Family's facade that no one can "die" on Penacony. Elsewhere in the Dreamscape, Sunday is extremely displeased with Sparkle for disguising herself as Robin, saying that he knows his sister is really dead, and that he's waiting for the proper time to avenge her. Meanwhile, Sam and Acheron fight to a draw, as Acheron refuses to unsheathe her sword, while Sam says that they do not know if Acheron has a place in Elio's "script."

Later, the Penacony story divides between three parties: Acheron and Welt Yang team up to do their own digging of what The Family is trying to keep secret, as Black Swan discovers from an unseen third-party that Acheron is an Emanator of an unknown path. Aventurine gains an audience with Sunday, who uses his abilities as a Pathstrider of the Harmony to interrogate Aventurine after being forewarned by Dr. Ratio of his arrival and plans. Sunday discovers that Aventurine brought two Cornerstones instead of one: his own and Topaz's, submitting Topaz's as his own while hiding the other one. Sunday then forces Aventurine to help him find a traitor in The Family responsible for Robin's death. As Aventurine reflects on his own past as the last member of his Avgin clan and a former slave who managed to bargain his way into the Stonehearts' good graces, he makes a grand gamble with Sparkle, and then himself, under the guise of trying to find "death" within the Dreamscape. In the process he also reveals that Dr. Ratio's betrayal was part of his plan, and that three Cornerstones, rather than two, are currently present on Penacony, with the confiscated Cornerstone ostensibly belonging to Aventurine being Jade's instead.

Meanwhile, the Trailblazer, Himeko, and March 7th meet with Gallagher in a hidden bar in the Dreamscape. Gallagher talks about the history of Penacony, Hanunue, Mikhail the Watchmaker, the Family, and how they are actually at odds with each other beneath in the surface despite their cartoony interpretations in Clockie Studios productions. Aventurine, who has infiltrated Clockie Studios by himself, issues a public threat to the Trailblazer and their companions, planning to detonate the Stellaron within them.

Acheron, who has returned to the group, decides to unsheathe her blade and transports Aventurine into a world of darkness, revealing her true Path as a Self-Annihilator of Nihility. This was Aventurine's true gamble, that Acheron would "kill" him in the Dreamscape so that he could see beyond the dreamy veil that The Family erected to hide their secret, and that supposedly this is where Robin saw the truth of Penacony as well before she was silenced. Aventurine then heads off to explore the hidden side of Penacony. Elsewhere, Sam talks to the Trailblazer about the multiple times they tried to pierce the veil of the Dreamscape but failed, before deactivating their armor and revealing themselves to be Firefly. Sunday summons Gallagher to his office, fingering him as the true culprit behind Robin's death, and actually a Pathstrider of the Enigmata, composed of parts of 52 different Family members in one body. Sunday demands to know why and Gallagher mocks him, saying it's just fate playing a cruel joke, before Sunday himself is "killed" by the memetic monster of death.

Later, Topaz and Jade decide to get involved on Penacony with Aventurine having gone silent.

Alternate Ending

If the Trailblazer instead decides to refuse Aventurine and Black Swan's offer and leave the Dreamscape, it's said that the Trailblazer told the Nameless and the Bloodhounds about Aventurine, and The Family expels him and the IPC from Penacony before they can sink their hooks into it. The Nameless then return to the Charmony Festival, which continues on seemingly forever, and never leave.

Companion Missions

     Argenti

Night of Universal Hallucinations

Pom-Pom sets a course to a nearby "Washtopia" as the Astral Express crew begin cleaning their space train. However, en-route to the Washtopia, the train encounters Argenti, a Knight of Beauty, and a low-ranking IPC employee who he rescued earlier. Despite Argenti's eccentric behavior, the two parties must work together to fight off remnants of The Swarm and escape the belly of a Giant Sting.

     Arlan

An Unexpected Turn of Events

Asta is concerned that Arlan is exhibiting strange behavior, though none of his colleagues in the Security Department find it odd. She asks the Trailblazer to help her find out the reasons behind his disappearance.

     Asta

You Already Know Me

The Trailblazer is invited to a group chat of Herta's Heritors, where negative rumors are swirling about Asta. The Trailblazer decides to find out the truth behind these rumors, as well as the Gossip Monger who started them.

     Clara

Rarely Affectionate

Clara asks the Trailblazer to help her track down a thief stealing parts throughout the camp. As they work together to find the culprit, the trail leads them to another robot who acts erratically after being confronted. Clara decides to place the robot's Core Module into a different robot's shell, but has trouble finding a compatible one. Eventually, Clara decides to name the strange robot Pascal, and follows it to Rivet Town, where it is revealed that it used to guard a now-abandoned workshop and kept repairing itself with Fragmentum-tainted parts until other robots considered it a creature of the Fragmentum than a robot. When Svarog hears of this situation, The Trailblazer must decide whether to convince Clara of Svarog's solution to reformat Pascal and stop it from attacking other people, or convince Svarog of Clara's determination to continue repairing Pascal's core and allow it to preserve its own identity.

     Bailu

Evanesce Like the Morning Dew

Dahao asks the Trailblazer's help with relocating Bailu after she escapes from the Alchemy Commission, again. The Trailblazer finds Bailu hiding from an Alchemy Commission with a nurse named Banxia, though she turns out to be a Disciple of Sanctus Medicus. Despite being Mara-struck and trying to hold off her symptoms, Banxia wants Bailu's help to heal an outworlder named Liangmu that she fell in love with, even though doing so put them both in conflict with other Disciples. The Trailblazer and Bailu track the man down in Cloudford, dodging other Disciples, Cloud Knights, and a Judge from the Ten-Lords Commission to do so. However, Banxia can no longer hold off her transformation, forcing the Trailblazer and Bailu to put her down.

Whether or not Liangmu learns the truth about Banxia's fate, the Trailblazer and Bailu find out that he never actually loved her, and was trying to use her to gain info on other Disciples for blackmail.

     Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae

The Dragon Returns Home

Shortly after the Stellaron Crisis aboard the Luofu is resolved, Dan Heng re-enters the Luofu, alongside the Trailblazer, to meet the new leader of the Vidyadahra. However, most of the other Vidyadahra demand he turn back. Even so, he meets with Bailu and returns to the Scalegorge Waterscape to witness her ascension as the next High Elder. However, other Vidyadahra do not believe that Bailu deserves to lead them, and have sent assassins to take her out.

     Gepard

Only a Child

Continuing from where Serval's companion quest left off, Gepard asks for the Trailblazer's help as he plans to visit the Underworld with Serval and the Silvermane Guards to establish relations with their counterparts in Wildfire. Despite an initially cold reception, the two sides join forces to save stranded miners at the Great Mine from Fragmentum monsters. After watching Gepard speak with a pair of young siblings among the refugees, Serval suddenly has a change of heart about leaving Belobog. Instead, the Landau siblings travel to Everwinter Hill, where Serval finally screams her feelings to the now-dead Cocolia, and then returns to her workshop with a better attitude.

     Hook

Old Foreman's Treasure

The Moles ask the Trailblazer to rescue Hook, who went to the Great Mine. The Trailblazer saves Hook and her adoptive father, Fersman, from some vagrants. However, Fersman is sick and his special vein detector has gone missing, making him unable to work. He wishes to prepare Hook for his passing, but Hook refuses to give up on him, taking the Trailblazer with her to hunt down the thief who stole his vein detector. After taking the device back and being unable to repair it, Hook has a tearful reunion with Fersman, who says that Hook is his real treasure.

Hook's Treasure

Hook wants to buy a present for Fersman, but doesn't want to use his money for it, so she drags the Trailblazer with her to Rivet Town to search for her own treasure, or something that can be sold, for a present. After a lot of searching, the two find Hook's old teddy bear, Junjun, at the orphanage. They later return to Natasha's clinic and ask Natasha to fix the old teddy bear, where Natasha discovers that there are valuable gems embedded in the bear's eyes.

Hook's Gift

After hearing the news that Wildfire plans to hold a public auction near the vagrant camp, Hook and the Trailblazer meet up to sell Junjun and get a new Geomarrow vein probe for Fersman. After fighting off some thieves, the auction continues normally, and Hook obtains the probe (either by having enough money or by Natasha buying it for them at the last minute). Hook gets Natasha to wrap the probe in wrapping paper, and gives it to Fersman at his birthday party. However, Fersman reveals he got a set of accessories for Junjun as a gift, while selling his mine detector to afford them.

     Jingliu

Clouds Leave No Trace

     Kafka

Letter from a Strange Woman

     Luka

Mo Cuishle

After defending his belt in the Underworld fighting ring, Luka invites the Trailblazer and Seele to follow his training plan. The "plan" involves helping a mechanic rescue his robots, and then challenging Svarog to a duel. Luka puts up a good fight, but Svarog is simply too strong and does not tire, while Luka ends up falling unconscious.

The next day, Oleg tells the Trailblazer about how Luka lost his arm and got a mechanical replacement, and how he views other people's lives as more important than his own. Seele and the Trailblazer quietly tail Luka, and find out that he made a promise to a little girl from his hometown to destroy the monsters threatening the Underworld and challenge Svarog to a duel.

     Luocha

A Knight Stranger

Dahao at the Xianzhou Luofu Realm-Keeping Commission asks the Trailblazer to look into a suspicious foreigner named Luocha, and determine if he had anything to do with smuggling the Stellaron onto the Luofu. Welt Yang sees a picture of the blonde man, and immediately flashes back to his past with Void Archives, wondering if it could be the same person. March 7th decides to test out her self-proclaimed detective skills and creates a fanciful scenario where Luocha sold the Stellaron to a mysterious buyer on the Luofu. However, after going through the evidence and collecting witness testimony, the Astral Express crew can't find any real signs that Luocha was the villain, and indeed, he spent a couple hours helping people on the Luofu.

     Lynx

Further than the Snow Plains

Serval and Gepard both ask the Trailblazer for help with their younger sister Lynx, who won't talk to them about her next expedition to the Snow Plains. They ask the Trailblazer to discreetly follow her to find out why, and protect her if necessary. The Trailblazer then sees Lynx meet up with Pela before the two of them head out into the Snow Plains together to see the aurora with their own eyes. After they finish setting up camp, the Trailblazer helps protect them from Fragmentum monsters and the three watch the aurora together.

After the Trailblazer tells Serval and Gepard about their trip, Lynx invites the Trailblazer to the Museum the next day, and tells them about Pela's past. Pela cries as she reads the digitized last words of her late mother.

     March 7th

Total Recall

     Natasha

Origin of the Medicine

Natasha asks for the Trailblazer's help with finding out why multiple patients have been skipping appointments at her clinic. The Trailblazer talks with a few of them and finds that a group of scammers calling themselves the Complex Illness Mutual Aid Society have been selling a "wonder drug" to desperate people. Natasha tells the Trailblazer the drug was developed by Dr. Vache, her brother, hoping to create a immunity to cold for the people of Belobog. Though he tested the drug on uninformed patients and never finished it before he died, the Society is selling the byproducts of his research as a fake cure. Natasha and the Trailblazer then hunt down the Society and their stash of the "wonder drug" and destroy them both, but upon returning to the clinic, some patients are mad at Natasha for taking away their drug despite Natasha's explanation.

Blizzard Immunity

Natasha asks for the Trailblazer's help with visiting the Belobog Overworld to reconnect with her adoptive parents. Partially because it has been 10 years since she knew them, and partly because she wants their help to get extra medical supplies for the Underworld. After reaching her family's home in the Overworld, Natasha reads through some old letters and writings left by Vache. Despite being exiled for his illegal experiments, he continued trying to research a scientific way to grant immunity to cold.

Natasha decides to look for Vache's last known place in the Snow Plains, and along the way meets some Silvermane Guards who credit Vache with protecting them from frostbite with his drugs. They follow a trail to a run-down shack, and discover that Vache vanished two years ago after leaving behind a last set of research notes. Though Natasha still hates Vache for killing desperate Belobogans with his fake medicine trials, she takes his notes, hoping to finish his blizzard immunity. Natasha then erects a tombstone to his memory with the Trailblazer's help outside the shack.

     Serval

Time Express

Serval tells the Trailblazer that she wants to leave Belobog and join the Astral Express, but Gepard wants her to stay. As the Trailblazer helps Serval pack for her trip, Serval reminisces about her past with Bronya and Gepard.

     Silver Wolf

Punklorde Mentality

     Sparkle

Masquerade Duet

     Yanqing

Frosty Blade's Trial

While the Xianzhou Luofu was dealing with the Stellaron Crisis, Yanqing tried to hunt down the Stellaron Hunter, Blade, who escaped from the Shackling Prison. During his investigation, Yanqing came across a mysterious swordswoman named Jingliu, who also came to look for Blade. Yanqing refused to let her interfere, so Jingliu challenged Yanqing to a duel, and beat him, taking Yanqing's notes as a prize. The Trailblazer later gives the Jade Tracer containing the records of this incident to Jing Yuan.

     Yukong

For I Have Touched the Sky

After rushing to the sound of an explosion at Stargazer Navalia, the Trailblazer, March 7th, and Welt Yang all rescue Qingni, Yukong's daughter. Back at the Palace of Astrum, the Nameless see Yukong yelling at Qingni about her wish to become a starskiff combat pilot instead of being stuck at a desk job in the Palace. After talking more with Qingni, Jing Yuan, and Yukong herself, the Nameless learn that Qingni is actually the daughter of Caiyi, a now-deceased gunner and Yukong's partner from a War against the Abundance. As part of her last will, Caiyi begged Yukong to take care of Qingni and never let her become a fighter pilot like herself. Qingni then decides to directly confront Yukong with the Nameless' help. Yukong relents and tells Qingni that she can become a fighter pilot if she wishes, and that she shouldn't be held back by her fears or her past with Caiyi.
