Go To

Airdate: Monday, April 14, 2008

Strong Bad relates the story of the long-awaited sequel to Strong Bad Meets The Homestar Runner, in which the Homestar Runner deals with an unknown object stuck in his craw.

Tropes:

  • Continuity Nod: This cartoon was teased at the end of the 100th Strong Bad Email, "flashback".
  • Literal Metaphor: To have something "stuck in your craw" means something or someone is bothering you. In this case, the Homestar Runner literally has something stuck in his craw, much to his embarrassment.
  • Malicious Misnaming: Strong Bad refers to Strong Sad as "Some Fat Girl" and "The Ghost of Christmas Suck", only calling him by his actual name the third time it comes up, and with great reluctance.
  • Origins Episode: The object stuck in the Homestar Runner's craw turns out to be his trademark red shirt with a white star, and he's quick to trade out his old yellow duckie-shirt for it.
  • Portmanteau: The thing stuck in the Homestar Runner's craw is referred to as a "craw-object, or crawbject".
  • Said Bookism: As part of the book's parody of bad children's literature, characters don't just "say" their dialogue, they do things like "shriek", "declare", and "pronounce" it.
  • Sequel Hook: Strong Bad teases another book set in the storybook universe, "The Strong Sad Wets Yonder Bed".
Strong Sad: There is no such kids' book!
