When Yuzuki returns a lost dog named Momo to her owner, Mioi Hatsumi, a woman named Shintani descends from her apartment room to show off her newest bracelet that she brought at a high price. However, she quickly leaves in quiet rage once she notices the same bracelet being used by Momo as a collar. Shintani begins trying to get the apartment management to evict Momo by leaving false evidence of Hatsumi's inability to take care of Momo and finally feeding it something dogs should not eat. Finding out that Shintani poisoned Momo, she rushes to the vet and then types in Shintani's name into the Hell Correspondence website, receiving Ren as a doll. The next day, Hatsumi confronts Shintani to take back a package she stole that was delivered early that day containing Momo's training pads, but Shintani refuses and scatters them all over the roof. As she gathers them, Hatsumi pulls the string sending Shintani to Hell while falling off the building. She survives the fall, and she is shown to have recovered from her injuries later on.
This episode contains examples of:
- Bittersweet Ending: Mioi accidentally pulls the thread of the straw doll Momo was holding her mouth, sending Shintani to Hell but causing Mioi to fall off the building. Mioi survives but is hospitalized with broken arms and several other injuries. Worst off, the hospital she's in doesn't allow dogs, which distresses her. When we see her several episodes later, however, she's completely healed from her injuries and reunited with Momo.
- The Bully: Shintani becomes one to both Mioi and her dog Momo after becoming fed up with Mioi's unintentional condescension.
- Dragged Off to Hell: Shintani in the end.
- Fat Bitch: Shintani, who resents and begins to torment Mioi because of Mioi unintentionally exacerbating her insecurities.
- Frame-Up: Shintani begins to frame Mioi's dog Momo various things such as pissing on the building's staircase and barking in the halls.
- Innocently Insensitive: Mioi is a genuinely nice but oblivious woman that speaks without stopping to consider how her words may be interpreted. This gets her on Shintani's bad side, and Shintani begins to torment her.
- Kick the Dog: When her framing Momo isn't as successful as she thought it would be, Shintani tries to outright kill the dog by feeding it food that will make it sick. This is what finally drives Mioi over the edge and makes her contact the Hell Correspondence.
- Nice Girl: Mioi is a genuinely kind person whose only issue is that she doesn't realize how her words can come off to people.
- No One Should Survive That!: Mioi falls off of a several-stories high building and survives with two broken arms and several other injuries. When we see her again in episode 23, she appears to have fully healed from her injuries and is walking Momo in town.
- Oblivious to Hatred: Mioi doesn't realize that Shintani hates her until Shintani outright tries to kill her dog and feels no remorse for it.
- Too Dumb to Live: Out of complete desperation, Mioi climbs over her building railing to retrieve her Momo's scattered training pads, trips, and falls down several stories. She somehow manages to survive the fall, but with two broken arms, and several other injuries.
