Go To

A boy named Ichimura Kazuya is a marathon runner. He does the morning rounds of newspaper in order to support his mother who loves to buy kimonos. His parents are constantly fighting, so his mother uses money to buy kimonos. Kazuya thinks that it is the salesperson Saito Yukihiro's fault that his family is in this state, and Kazuya tries to tell his mother to stop letting Saito into the house. Until that night,Kazuya accesses Hell Correspondence and type in Saito's name. But his mother refuses, and she continuously buys kimonos from him. Kazuya sends Saito to Hell, but only to find another salesperson replacing him and pampering his mother with flattery.

This episode contains examples of:

  • All for Nothing: Kazuya sends the corrupt salesman to Hell, only for her mother to fall victim to yet another salesman that uses similar methods to trick her into buying things.
  • Downer Ending: Kazuya sends the salesman to Hell, but his mother falls victim to another salesman that uses the same methods, rendering his efforts to fix his family moot.
  • Dragged Off to Hell: Kazuya sends Saito to Hell.
  • Here We Go Again!: Another salesman shows up to manipulate the mother into buying things from him, putting Kazuya and his family back in the same situation that started the mess yet again. That said, Kazuya seems to have accepted it this time around.
  • Money Dumb: The mother, who will buy anything if she's flattered enough. Kazuya has to take on a part-time job just to make up for all the money they're losing from her frivolous purchases.
  • Womanchild: The mother is implied to be one, given how irresponsible she is.
