Recap / Hell Girl S 2 E 9 Elder Brother Younger Sister

Go To

Despite the fact that they are close, Maho Suzaki hates her brother, Mikio Suzaki, for chasing away her boyfriends. Maho discovers that Mikio has been dressing up as a woman, "Miki", and stealing her boyfriends from her. She believes it's because he feels he is prettier than she is, but he later confesses that he does it to prevent Maho from seeing other men and ultimately leaving him because he is in love with her. When Maho can no longer take the pressure, she ends up sending him to Hell.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Ambiguously Absent Parent: Both of Maho and Mikio's parents are absent, which is briefly mentioned by Maho, but it isn't explained what happened to them.
  • Asshole Victim: Downplayed. At worst, Mikio is mentally ill and feels remorse for what he's done and almost did to Maho, but he's sent to Hell for his actions regardless. In Hell, he's grateful that he's away from her so he won't end up hurting her.
  • Attempted Rape: Mikio attempts to rape Maho after confessing his feelings to her, but she successfully fights him off. Unlike most examples of this trope in the series, he angsts over his actions afterward.
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: Mikio takes advantage of this to seduce away Maho's boyfriends in an effort to keep her to himself.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: One-sidedly. Mikio is obsessively in love with Maho and often cross-dresses as a woman named "Miki" to seduce away her boyfriends.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Mikio is obsessively in love with Maho and dresses as a woman to scare off her boyfriends.
  • Creepy Crossdresser: Mikio dresses up as a woman to seduce Maho's boyfriends away from her.
