Fred's peppy mom, Stacy Grant, hosts a positivity seminar, and Fred is invited to join as a VIP guest. Fred is absolutely not looking forward to it, given her nihilistic personality absolutely clashes with the optimistic demeanor of her mother, and feels like her mother doesn't understand her at all.
Tropes:
- Didn't Think This Through: Fred gets Charlie to admit that his plan to give himself goose wings that come out of his butt, and then to command an army of geese when he can’t control what they do once he’s summoned them, wasn’t well thought out.
- Foul Waterfowl: After being laughed at for his butt wings, Charlie makes a mighty honk that riles up flocks of geese which terrorize the city.
- Gag Dub: In-Universe; As Hamster, Gretel and Kevin watch their parents plant a vegetable garden in silence, as Kevin suggests to add their own sounds. They do this right when a pair of geese attack the garden.
- Mercury's Wings: Charlie has used goose DNA to give himself wings. Unfortunately, they grow out of his butt, making him a laughing stock.
- The Pollyanna: Stacy always has a positive take on the matter, even if inconvenient things happen to her. Her motto is "Positivity Brings Positiveness".
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: When a glum Charlie finds out about Stacy's seminar about positivity, he takes it the wrong way and becomes this trope, until he gets laughed at for his butt wings from goose DNA.
