Sincerely, Your Dearest Friend

Meet Aoto Kikuda, a 15-year-old living at the countryside of Japan. While he gets bored with his regular mundane life, there's one thing that keeps his spirits up, letters from his friend at Tokyo. As graduation approaches, the two wonder what they should do over the summer.

Tropes

  • All Just a Dream: The entire event is a dream created by the Captain after they passed out from a heatstroke during the middle of an assignment.
  • Alternate Self: While they are from the Captain's dreams, many characters that appear in the event are essentially Granblue characters that are given a more 90s Japanese look and background.
  • Appeal to Novelty: Miku marvels that Aoto still writes letters to their mutual childhood friend in an era when personal phones start to become a thing in the countryside. Her phone is eventually destroyed, forcing her to rely on letters as well.
  • The Bully: Akihiko Oribe and Daikoku Fuwa, who are the event's equivalent to Belial and Lucilius respectively, serves as this to Aoto mainly.
  • The Greatest Story Never Told: Due to the event all being the Captain's dream, Lyria and Vyrn don't know what it's about and assume something awesome happened in it.
  • Out-of-Genre Experience: This event is a Slice of Life that takes place at Japan's countryside in the late 90s and only uses "real life" equivalent Granblue characters. The only time any actual Granblue characters appear is at the event's ending.
  • The Unishment: Oribe's and Aoto's brawl over the loss of Miku's phone has the two become suspended, which this trope is more applicable to Oribe as he doesn't participate in school as much.
