Good Night Till It Be Morrow

Some time after Romeo faked his death, he stumbles across an old man with a strong passion of theaters like him. After finding out the man is Bill the Bard, Romeo later becomes his student and eventually succeeds him after his death two years later.

With the Rose Theater established, rumors about its illicit connections to the council are also springing up, leading to Juliet requesting the crew to look into it.

Tropes

  • Bad Liar: At one point, Juliet asks the crew to ask Romeo for help on investigating the anti-Capulet faction under the guise of it being Paris's request. When Romeo asks them how they found out about his intentions, the player is given three choices: two of them has the Captain poorly lie about it and the remaining one has them fess up.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: The entire anti-Capulet becomes this once Anthony reveals their inner workings and is eventually handled offscreen by the council members connected to it being exposed.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The curses of Verona's past are lifted with the anti-Capulet faction being dissolved, Benvolio moving on as a council member and an actor, Verona being reformed as a republic, and Romeo and Juliet finally getting married.
  • Exact Words: Verona being converted to a republic is enough for the spirit of the guardian king to pop and "protect" Verona since it sees the action as the equivalent to the monarchy's destruction.
  • Foil: Anthony and Benvolio both have ties to the Montague house and left Verona at one point on their lives only to return back home. For Anthony, he doesn't like to get involved with politics and spent the rest of his life into acting. For Benvolio, he left Verona for his studies and hoped to revive the Montague house.
  • Mole in Charge: While it seems like Romeo and Anthony are part of the anti-Capulet faction, the two are only there to assess the faction's power and determine the steps to take them down. In fact, the lack of proper leadership is one of the few things justifying Anthony's conclusion on how easy it is to dismantle them.
  • The Runaway: Anthony ran away from his family and home, not wanting to involve himself with their politics and only comes back once the Rose Theater is established.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: Alongside the weak leadership, the anti-Capulet faction doesn't have a united goal or ideology. Some want to restore the House of Montague, some are nobles upset over Juliet taking away their powers, some just don't like Verona's system, and some have a personal grudge against Juliet and Paris.
