Fast-Talking Vagabond kidnaps children for a Gorma project, with Kou captured after being exposed as Kiba Ranger.

Tropes

  • Affably Evil: Fast-Talking Vagabond sounds like a pretty pleasant fellow when not kidnaping kids.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Fast-Talking Vagabond looks ridiculous and talks fast, but he's a Gorma who disarms the Dairangers.
  • The Bus Came Back: Guhon returns to help the Dairangers find Kou by giving them a new weapon he needs to assemble.
  • Cliffhanger: The Dairangers are overwhelmed and Kameo is turned into a turtle again.
  • Dug Too Deep: Invoked. The Gorma are having child mine a means to increase their power.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Fast-Talking Vagabond wields a fishing rod as a weapon to capture children, along with either disarm his opponent or reflecting their attacks.
  • Internal Reveal: Kou's identity as Kiba Ranger is exposed.
  • Just a Kid: Shoji's response to Rin being mad about Kou.
  • Mad Bomber: Fast-Talking Vagabond uses explosives that can only be disarmed by the same tongue twister that activated it.
  • The Reveal:
    • Byakko Shinken keep Kou from revealing his identity of Kou's mother, and she branded her son to seal the Gorma power he inherited from his father. Furthermore, if Kou is not reunited with his mother before his tenth birthday, he will become a Gorma.
    • A seventh Treasure Lai-Lai Pearl exists, Kazu realizing it's the crystal Kameo found. But Kameo threw it away out of fear after it turned him into a turtle.
  • Would Hurta Child: The Gorma beating children exhausted from digging. Also Shadam backhands Kou.
