Daigo's love of Kujaku hinder the Dairangers when she reappears in order to manage Gara without their assistance.

- Bad Boss: Gara plotted to kill Heatwave Haze while Kujaku and Daigo were trapped in his stomach, killing them as well. But the Dairangers arrive, Gara decides to exploit it to her advantage. By the time she makes her move to kill her minion, Daigo and Kujaku escape in time.
- Bittersweet Ending: Kujaku finally regains her compassionate nature, but leaves to find the Holy Peacock Teardrop.
- Off with His Head!: Gara decapitates Heatwave Hood, who grows a new head while growing giant.

- Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth / Took a Level in Badass: After being eaten with Kujaku, Daigo punches his way out of Heatwave Hood's stomach. He succeeds with Kujaku giving him a boost with her chi.

- With Us or Against Us: Daigo is presented this by the other Dairangers once putting his feelings for Kujaku before the team.
