Recap / Godzilla The Series S 1 E 17 Monster Wars Part 3

Go To

The Tachyons have unleased giant monsters all across the globe. H.E.A.T must find a way to free the monsters before the aliens' invasion force arrives.

This page contains the following tropes:

  • Accidental Hero: The Giant Bat rescues H.E.A.T from being executed while he was fending off the alien fighters.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Nick tries to invoke this by convincing the aliens to spare them for their knowledge but the aliens grew wise and says it's not worth the hassle.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • Cyber-Godzilla defeats the Giant Bat after redirecting his Super-Scream back at him.
    • Godzilla kicks his cyborg father to the curb before ripping him to pieces.
  • The Dog Bites Back:
    • After being freed from the Mind Control, the mutations start attacking the aliens.
    • Hicks and the military shoot down Soppler and Hoffman after having spent several episodes being used as mind-controlled pawns by them.
  • Easily Thwarted Alien Invasion: The Tachyons' satellite dish is their only way for them to extend their powers. Once H.E.A.T destroys the dish, not only did the aliens lose control over the monsters and humans but they also lost their Hive Mind, forcing them to retreat.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: When Godzilla returns to Site Omega, he ultimately chooses to follow Nick over Cyber-Godzilla and fights the cyborg to the death.
  • Hope Spot: Just as it seems the mutations are going to drive back the invasion, the aliens and Cyber-Godzilla mercilessly take them down.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Monique is successfully able to help Elsie to free herself from the aliens' Mind Control.
  • Killed Off for Real: Mutations that included the Queen Bee and El Gusano were killed following the end of the alien invasion. And the original Godzilla was once more defeated and for good this time.
  • Oh, Crap!: H.E.A.T has this when their alien fighter starts retreating back into space.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: It turns out that Earth's environment is incredibly poisonous to the Tachyons hence the need to use Soppler and Hoffman as their agents.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Technically a rat. The Giant Rat hasn't being seen since Part 2 and by the time this episode ends, there is not even a brief shot of him, if he is killed or not.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Soppler and Hoffman grew annoyed when H.E.A.T and Godzilla dismantled their operations till finally they screamed in rage when the alien fleet retreated. This causes them to try to kill the humans but they didn't get far.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness:
    • A few of the mutations are killed by the aliens when they rebel against them.
    • A non-fatal example. Soppler and Hoffman's programming ceased after the aliens retreated and they return partially back into humans.
