Recap / Glitch Techs S 1 E 15 Find The Glitch

Go To

  • Clip Show: Framed as a kind of training exercise that uses recorded footage from the field. It's lampshaded that outside of the main and supporting cast, the more background characters in the room have barely any clips to show.
  • Fully Automatic Clip Show: Part of the episode is dedicated to all the times the Techs have said the word "glitch". The Techs then proceed to remix them into music using BITT.
  • Paranoia Fuel: In-universe; The techs are told that "Find the Glitch" is just a training exercise of some kind, but Mitch argues that it was a cover and that there really is a glitch imposter amongst them. While she laughs off the idea Barbara ominously acknowledges that, however improbable, a glitch perfectly emulating human behavior isn't completely impossible.
  • Red Herring: In the climax, Mitch accuses Miko of being a glitch as the main reason of her immunity for memory wiping. Then Barbara reveals that is not the case.
  • Surveillance as the Plot Demands: It's revealed that the Tech's gauntlets have 360 degree recording capability. Nobody really notes the implications of this, even when it's shown that things such as Mitch not mind-wiping Ridley was recorded.
  • Too Good to Be True: Near the end of the episode Mitch makes a compelling argument that Miko is actually a glitch that's half built around her immunity to a system restore and half based on her immense gaming skills. Once she's cleared Miko decides to take the latter as a compliment.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: The entire group give Mitch a Death Glare when it seems that he accused Miko of being a glitch for nothing.
