Recap / Full House S 8 E 12 D Js Choice

Go To

"D.J.'s Choice" is an episode of the eighth season of Full House.

When D.J. must choose between Viper or Nelson, she's unsure who to pick. In the meantime, Danny gets the Tanner family mobilized to help clean up a vandalized playground.

Tropes:

  • Dump Them All: D.J. takes this option when asked to choose between Nelson and Viper, reasoning that, if she were really into either of them, then she wouldn't have any trouble deciding who to be with.
  • Easily Forgiven: What Joey assumes when Jesse says he isn't going to deal with him at the playground. Subverted when Jesse says it's because of too many witnesses.
  • Hope Spot: When Jesse says he isn't going to deal with Joey at the playground, Joey assumes it's because Jesse forgives him, only for Jesse to say it's because there are too many witnesses.
  • Love Triangle: What D.J. finds herself in as she must choose between Viper and Nelson.
  • Seesaw Catapult: Late in the episode when the Tanner family joins the neighbors to clean up and rebuild a vandalized local park, Danny is tasked with the seesaw, but he secures the bolts too tightly, as evidenced when Stephanie and Kimmy try it out, with Kimmy on the lower end. Several of the adults then push Stephanie's side of the seesaw down, which sends Kimmy flying off the seesaw and into a nearby tree.
  • Take a Third Option: When D.J. is asked to choose between Nelson and Viper, she ends up deciding to dump both of them instead.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Jesse's hammer. Unfortunately it gets destroyed by Joey.
  • Tranquil Fury: After seeing his hammer destroyed, Jesse decides to deal with Joey away from the playground due to there being too many witnesses.
