Bloodline
In the alternate universe, Fauxlivia, pregnant with Peter Bishop's child, is kidnapped and forcibly given treatment to accelerate the pregnancy, which already threatened her life. As Fringe Division searches for her, Captain Lincoln Lee and Charlie learn that Fauxlivia and Olivia had recently temporarily swapped places, and become distrustful of Walternate. Fauxlivia is able to escape, and Fringe Division, with the help of Olivia's friend, cab driver Henry Higgins, finds her in time to see her safely give birth to a son. It is revealed the abduction was initiated by Walternate, who obtains a sample of the child's blood after Fauxlivia is brought back safely.
Tropes
- Anguished Declaration of Love: Alternate!Lee does this to Fauxlivia while she is delivering the baby. She's not in much of a position to respond to it at the time.
- Child by Rape: Fauxlivia's son Henry is this as Peter thought she was Olivia when he slept with her.
- Delivery Guy: Henry delivers Fauxlivia's baby. Apparently he also delivered one of his daughters so he at least has some idea of what he's doing.
- Different World, Different Movies: There's a sign for a twelfth season of The West Wing atop Henry's cab.
- Express Delivery: Fauxlivia's pregnancy is accelerated by her kidnappers. She goes from her first trimester to delivery in the space of a few days. The acceleration was masterminded by Walternate who needed the child's blood asap. It also had the side effect of saving Fauxlivia's life as the rapid progression meant the viral condition that would have attacked her pregnancy and killed both mother and child didn't have a chance to attack.
- Hope Spot: Fauxlivia tries to convince Nurse Joyce to help her before the completion of the procedure to accelerate her pregnancy, appealing to her training as an obstetrician and pointing out that she is a likely carrier of the virus causing VPE, which would kill both her and the baby. Joyce pauses to consider...then tells Fauxlivia to stop wasting time.
