This rap battle provides examples of:
- Amusing Injuries: Freshy Kanal's interruption only last briefly because Sean throws some sauce to his eyes. This abrupt injury is played for laughs.
- Boring Insult: After the last of Sean Evans' raps, Rea calls them bedtime stories that almost put him to sleep.

- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Sean is much more hot-tempered in his raps compared to the calm-voiced Rea.
- Shout-Out: Andrew Rea calls Sean, Shaun the Sheep, during his last verse.
- Stylistic Suck: To set the April Fools mood, some aspects of the battle are made to be bad, such as how the "VS" in the intro is too big while the "BEGIN" is too small. Sean Evans' scenes also use a cheap black background and low-quality lighting that far from resembles the Hot Ones set. Not to mention, the bald cap used to portray Sean is an incredibly obvious one.
