Frasier attempts to set Daphne up with his new station manager, only to be in for a surprise when his boss reveals that he is gay.

- Emergency Broadcast: Played for Laughs when a scene opens with Frasier and Roz grimacing through a loud beeping sound.Frasier: (once the beeping finishes) This concludes our test of the emergency broadcast system. If this was a real emergency, your radio would be melting in your hands.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!:Frasier: All I did was ask him if he was attached, and then we talked about the theatre and men's fashions, Oh my God. (facepalms)
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: When Tom reveals that he is gay to Niles, the latter attempts to milk it for all it's worth due to his crush on Daphne, but soon decides to tell Frasier the truth out of goodwill.
- The Matchmaker: Frasier attempts to set Daphne up with Tom after she complains about how lonely she is.
- Mistaken for Gay: Tom misinterprets Frasier inviting him to dinner as him asking Tom on a date. A further series of misunderstandings leads him to believe Martin and Niles are also gay. By the time he leaves he's accepted that Frasier and Martin are straight but is still suspicious of Niles.Tom: This Maris guy he kept mentioning is a woman?
Frasier: Well, the jury's still out on that one. - Noodle Incident: One is alluded to after Frasier suggests Daphne wear her strapless dress for dinner with Tom.Daphne: Do you have any idea how uncomfortable a strapless bra is?
Frasier: Well, thanks to my fraternity days, as a matter of fact I do! - Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Daphne does this when Tom says out loud he's gay just as she comes into the living room.
- Sorry, I'm Gay: Inverted when Frasier has to explain to Tom that he's straight and not trying to date him.Frasier: Tom, I'm sorry but we seem to have gotten our lines crossed here. The truth is, I'm entirely straight.
Tom: Hey, if you're not interested, just say so!
