    Prologue
Chapters: 1

Summary

Percival, a sixteen-year-old boy, and his grandfather, Varghese, are attacked by Ironside, a knight serving King Arthur. Ironside is on a mission to eliminate the prophesied "Four Knights of the Apocalypse", and considers Varghese a potential candidate. After a fight that leaves Varghese fatally injured, Varghese reveals that Ironside is Percival's father. Following Varghese's death, Percival sets out into the world, leaving "God's Finger" where the two had lived by themselves Percival's whole life.

    Paysan Arc
Chapters: 2–6
The Paysan Arc is the first arc in the series.

Summary

Percival meets a trio of traveling performers named Katz, Elva and Donny, who agree to take him to nearby village. The village is being terrorized by a monstrous wolf, but Percival defeats it with ease and the villagers celebrate him as a hero. However, the wolf was a familiar of a knight named Pellegarde, a comrade of Ironside. Pellegarde soon arrives to the village and challenges Percival to a duel. During the duel Percival awakens his own magic, revealed to be an extremely rare "Hero-type" magic which has many different properties.

Despite this, Percival stands no chance against Pellegarde. When the situation seems hopeless, a strange fox appears and uses a spell to teleport Percival and Donny away from the village. The fox introduces himself as Sin, and explains that Pellegarde and Ironside are knights serving the evil king Arthur of Camelot; Their mission is to hunt down the prophesied "Four Knights of the Apocalypse", one of whom is Percival. Percival, Donny and Sin then embark for the Kingdom of Liones in order to obtain a way to enter Camelot.

The Paysan Arc provides examples of:
