A TV station about to shoot a special on Cade find themselves with surprise guests when Cade and Eddie take the staff hostage.
''Tropes:
- Oh, Crap!: The staff's reaction when the famous serial killer they're about to run a special episode on turns up and takes them hostage. Also Cade and Eddie's reaction when they hear the mind-controlled cop being blown up at the door. They booby-trapped the doors, but only with dummy bombs.
- Take That Us: One of the hostages tells Cade she's read his journal, and he's got a very sick imagination.
- Red Herring Twist: Early on, Eddie is anxious about the plan, openly stating the opinion that he's going to die. On the phone, Cain asks Cade if he's sure Eddie's okay, but other than the same anxiety Eddie seems fine. Then when Cade is on camera he's shot dead by an unknown sniper, who is then revealed to be Eddie. This forms the series cliffhanger, leaving audiences to wonder when Eddie was replaced by a Gua-operated clone husk. He wasn't. The next episode shows that Eddie is fine, the Cade that died was a clone made by the Gua, and it was all a plan to get the Feds off of Cade.
- Wham Shot: Cade finally gets in front of the camera, only to be shot dead by an unknown gunman. The episode ends on a reveal of this gunman... and it's Eddie.
