Cade gets a tip from an unexpected source, he seeks out a 17 year old radio ham with a possible GUA message that he has intercepted and saved. This leads to Cade's death. Or does it?
Tropes:
- Cool Gate: Of the swirly portal type. As Cade is about to be gunned down by the Gua, one of these opens and Lizbeth steps through to save him.
- Hostage for MacGuffin: Having taken Stephen Kim prisoner, Joshua offers Cade a trade, the kid for the recording.
- How We Got Here: Averted. The Cold Open shows Cade's death, but when the episode catches up, he's rescued by time travel.
- MacGuffin: Somehow, Stephen Kim's ham radio picked up a transmission detailing Gua spaceship movements.
- Noodle Incident: Eddie has a clutch full of lipsticks and knows how to use them. Cade decides not to ask why.
- Portal to the Past: Lizbeth takes one of these to her past, Cade's present in order to prevent his death.
- Timey-Wimey Ball: The Cold Open shows Cade being chased and gunned down in the street by Gua agents. When we reach that point of the episode, this time a Portal From The Past opens and Lizbeth steps out to save him. She turns out to be from the Bad Future where Cade did die.
