When Mooncake is mysteriously taken from the Crimson Light, the crew must find him in the nether reaches of space; Tribore rebuilds the resistance.
Tropes:
- Brick Joke: Gary assumes at first that Mooncake is running off because he needs The Talk, but at the end of the episode it's revealed that he's actually just playing "Shadow Blockers" with Clarence.
- But Now I Must Go: Tribore leaves the Team Squad to rebuid the resistance, feeling that it will be needed.
- Enmity with an Object: After he fails to save Mooncake, Gary takes out his frustration on a wall of the Crimson Light. KVN, Fox, Ash and even Little Cato however interpret this as Gary being mad at the wall, and one by one join in to help him punish it.
- Homoerotic Subtext: Occurs between Clarence and a ventrexian war general named Cataloupe. They both touched each other frequently while Cataloupe calls Clarence “Mr. Naughty” in a flirtatious tone.
- Internal Reveal: Gary and the Team Squad learn how Mooncake was created, and his connection to Gary's dad.
- The Talk: Gary believes he needs to give this to Mooncake. When Little Cato reveals he doesn't know what "The Talk" is, Gary jumps at the chance to explain it to him too. Only the tail-end of the discussion is seen though.
- The Old Gods: The creators of the Arachnitects are this.
- The Reveal: The Arachnitects are revealed to have created the Titans, which were corrupted by Invictus.
- Running Gag:
- Tribore keeps ending up at the same bar on his quest to find new members of The Resistance, and each time he recruits one of the patrons.
- KVN getting zapped by Bolo.
- One-Hit KO: When entering Sal’s Saloon for the first time, Sal’s cousin picks a fight with Tribore, but Tribore kills him with a single punch.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Mooncake is kidnapped by the Archnitects, who's true goal is to have him keep the universe stable and to seal the rift to Final Space.
- You All Meet in an Inn: Tribore finds the first members for his new resistance at a bar.
- Your Princess Is in Another Castle!: The Team Squad visits multiple people that supposedly can help activate the Dimensional Key needed to reach the dimension of the Arachnitects, but all they do is redirect the team to someone else.
