Tropes:
- Alternate Self: The Chloe that ends up with Chaldea is a What If? aspect of her if she decided to go with the protagonist and Mash instead. She even mentions that the original Chloe is, in fact, with Illya and Miyu in their universe as they speak. Presumably, this also means that the Illya that Chaldea can summon is also one to the Illya that the protagonist and Mash encounter early in the story, as well as the Miyu that Chaldea can summon being one to the one rescued late in the story.
- Call-Back: After encountering Medea Lily, Illya and Ruby recognize her as a younger version of the Caster Card they fought in their home series.
- Damsel in Distress: Rescuing Miyu, who has been kidnapped by the First Lady, is Illya's main goal.
- Debut Queue: Illya becomes available in the gacha as a Caster for a limited time, and Chloe is the Event's free Servant. The rerun features Miyu as a limited Caster.
- Fluffy the Terrible: Nursery Rhyme's familiar as a magical girl is a Demon Pillar named Black Sheep.
- Foreshadowing: Medea Lily mentions giving Talos to Europa.
- Heel–Face Turn: Unlike the other bosses of the various areas, Helena decides to accompany and later help the protagonist, Mash, and Illya rescue Miyu from the First Lady's clutches.
- Magical Girl: The event literally revolves around them as a concept, and several servants such as Helena and Medb are now qualified as such.
- Outside-Context Problem: Blackbeard and three other male servants from Chaldea begin causing trouble in the Reality Marble after solving the issues of the main story.
- Parody Sue: Testament is this In-Universe, a Tulpa brought into being by Blackbeard and co. being a collective Fan Dumb about the Magical Girl genre inside the Reality Marble.
- Trapped in Another World: Illya, Miyu, and Chloe end up trapped in the reality marble, apparently after an investigation gone wrong. Fortunately, they're able to return by the end of the main story.
