While doing his first round of grocery deliveries, Alex finds himself falling for a college girl named Stephanie. They quickly bond over their interest in economics, which leads to Stephanie inviting Alex to a speaker event. Their relationship quickly escalates once they arrive back at Stephanie's apartment, leading to Alex losing his virginity.
Tropes:

- Breakthrough Hit: Critics have often cited this episode and Michael J. Fox's performance as the one that eventually elevated him to essentially the series' lead role and a major shift in focus in the concept.
- Distinguished Gentleman's Pipe: Alex brandishes one the morning after losing his virginity.
- Inopportune Voice Cracking: Happens to Alex after Stephanie kisses him for the first time.
- Sex Equals Love: Well, Alex seems to think so after he and Stephanie do the deed. Unfortunately for him, it doesn't appear to be the case for Stephanie's end.
- Shaped Like Itself:
- Alex: I've always found immaturity to be rather childish.
- Their First Time: Alex loses his virginity to Stephanie.
