- Asshole Victim: Out of the 13 chosen ones, the crime boss, his goons, the pawnshop owner and the seller at the newspaper stand kinda deserves what happens to them.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: A trait Eduardo possesses that proves to be what saves the day. He actually manages to discover the god's weakness after having to transcribe Kahlil's manuscripts which might have been really hard since they might have been written in a foreign and ancient language.
- Drunk with Power: Rifkin completely undergoes this after realizing the power he held and decides to use it against anyone that ever crossed him or will.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Kahlil is ultimately defeated by Eduardo who uses the manuscripts that the god forced him to transcribe.
- I'm a Humanitarian: Having the Ghostbusters at his mercy, Kahlil decides to eat them. He didn't get to do it thanks to Eduardo.
- It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: Anyone who touches the rune is fated to be sent to Kahlil's dimension and be forced to serve him for all eternity.
- Oh, Crap!: After entering Kahlil's dimension, the Ghostbusters are about to fight only to learn that their proton packs aren't working. Kahlil explains that the laws of their world don't work here.
