Morpheus, the dream ghost, uses an obnoxious talk-radio DJ to turn people's dreams into living nightmares.
This episode contains the following tropes:
- Baldness Angst: Eduardo's nightmare is that he loses his hair in front of Kylie.
- Broken Pedestal: Garrett initially worships his favorite DJ until he understands what it feels like to be the center of his insults.
- Comically Serious: Despite being placed into a nightmare where he's nude in public, Egon isn't surprised by this and just continues to be intrigued.
- Didn't Think This Through: Morpheus succeeds in materializing into the physical world. Except in doing so, he makes himself vulnerable to the Ghostbusters' proton guns.
- Erotic Dream: Before it (quickly) gets turned into nightmare, Eduardo's dream basically starts as this.
- Megaton Punch: When Kylie notices that Garrett is falling asleep, she slaps him to wake him up.
- Performance Anxiety: Roland's nightmare is basically stage fright. It got so bad that it lead to an exaggeration of the Overly-Nervous Flop Sweat.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: Janine's nightmare is that she would be all alone.
- Unwitting Pawn: Morpheus controls the DJ to help in his plan to come to the real world.
- Your Mind Makes It Real: Some remnants of the nightmares manifest in the real world once people affected by Morpheus wake up. Roland throws up a large amount of water and Eduardo temporarily loses his hair.
