Edd finds out that his shower is out of order, so he tries to find another shower to use in order to start off his day. However, his mind slowly begins to deteriorate as he gets more dirty in his long search for a shower to use.
Tropes:
- The Atoner: Ed keeps trying to apologize to Eddy for waking him up early, but Eddy isn't taking it. It doesn't help that he's basically harassing Eddy, keeping him from going back to bed, to convey his apology.
- A Day in the Limelight: Most of the episode focus' on Edd's futile attempt to find a place to shower, while the other Eds mainly serve as a cutaway B-Plot.
- Butt-Monkey: Edd frequently gets dirty trying to ask people to borrow their shower.
- Blunt "No": Jonny's response to Edd asking him for the use of a shower.
- From Bad to Worse: Edd's predicament while looking for a shower. With each member of the cast that he fails to get help from, he ends up getting in one filthy accident after another, culminating in landing in the manure pit of Rolf's farm.
- Hope Spot: After spending the entire episode trying to find a place to shower, Nazz offers and is perfectly fine with him using her's. Unfortunately, Edd ends up chickening out after finding Nazz' bra and panties hanging off the handles.
- Idiot Ball: Why would Eddy believe Ed when the latter said that they had school on a Saturday? Eddy should be smart enough to know that Friday, the previous day, was the last school day before the weekend.
- Innocently Insensitive: While Nazz was politely trying to offer Edd her shower, she didn't bother to remove her undergarments making it too awkward for Edd to try and so he hightails it in favor of another one.
- Kick the Dog:
- When Edd asks Sarah if their "salon" has a shower for him to use, Sarah says that they have an opening... in three weeks.
- When Edd asks if he can use Jonny's shower, he tells him "nope." No reason given. Just "nope."
- There's also Ed and Eddy forcibly giving Edd a bath with the former about use a cheese grater on Edd with Eddy adding that he'll take a picture of this moment.
- Losing a Shoe in the Struggle: Edd loses both bunny slippers over the course of the episode: the first when he is launched against the dumpster, the second when he ends up in the manure.
- Madness Mantra: "Shower, shower, shower. Shower, shower, shower. Shower, shower, shower..." Ad infinitum until Edd's brain snaps.
- Never My Fault: Ed keeps blaming his belly for waking him up and telling him that it was "Bottomless Gravy Day" causing him to wake Eddy up early. Eddy and Edd obviously doesn't buy it with the former attacking Ed out of anger for waking him up early on Saturday.
- To a lesser extent, Eddy is upset at being waken up early despite clearly having enough common sense to know that there's no school on Saturdays and should've ignored Ed's claims.
- Sanity Slippage: Edd slowly loses his mind the more dirty he gets, until he can't take it anymore.
- Twitchy Eye: Edd has one as he finally goes insane.
- Wandering Walk of Madness: Edd's mind gradually deteriorates as he gets progressively filthier and is unable to clean himself. After falling into a pile of manure, he aimlessly wanders through the cul-de-sac, tirelessly uttering the word "shower", until he finally loses his grip on reality and rolls around in the garbage.
