One Man's Trash Is Another's Treasure: Deconstructed. Zak threw away the 'garbage' he thought his sister was hoarding in an effort to surprise her with a cleaner bedroom. But when he shows her the "surprise", it turns out the "garbage" he threw out was really her collection, and they held sentimental value to her. There's something to be said that the episode portrays how easy it is to throw away someone else's "treasure" under the impression it's just trash.
O.O.C. Is Serious Business: After spending the better part of the episode using tongs to touch trash, Zak becomes desperate that they can't find Wheezie's beloved button bracelet. So he starts searching the garbage with his bare claws, showing how badly he wants to make up for throwing away his sister's prized belongings by accident.
Sweet and Sour Grapes: Wheezie was ready to come to terms that she would never find her button bracelet, and even let Zak keep the button he found as a token of her forgiveness. But not long after, it turns out that the reason they couldn't find it is because the owner of the garbage dump found it, not knowing it belonged to Wheezie. When he returns it to her, Zak and Wheezie decide to reward his kindness by giving him the first button to help him start a button bracelet all his own.
