Dora reads a story about a magical Snowy Forest ruled by the Snow Princess Sabrina. But when a mean witch who hates snow traps Sabrina in a tower and steals her magic crystal, Dora and Boots jump into the book where they follow a Snow Fairy on an adventure to save the princess and and the Snowy Forest before it melts!

- All Up to You: Upon reaching Sabrina in the tower, she says the witch put a spell on her and she can't smile into the crystal, meaning the spell won't be broken and everything will melt, so Dora, who was brave, kind, and helps others like Sabrina, had to pretend to be her and break the spell herself.
- Big Damn Heroes: An Inuit girl named Paj shows up to help Dora and Boots get away from the snow bear.
- Damsel in Distress: Sabrina, after the witch traps her in a tower.
- Endless Winter: The Snowy Forest is perpetually snowing, until the witch makes everything melt.
- "Eureka!" Moment: When Sabrina is spelled by the witch to not smile into the crystal, Boots remembers from earlier that the Snow Fairy mistook Dora for Sabrina, allowing Dora to realize she can pretend to be Sabrina and break the spell.

- Girl in the Tower: Sabrina spends the majority of the special trapped in the stone tower created by the witch.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: Sabrina looks very much like Dora, with the only way to tell them apart is Sabrina's hair is longer and wavy, and her eyes are green while Dora's are brown.

- No Ontological Inertia: After Dora breaks the witch's spell and she loses her powers forever, it causes the tower she trapped Sabrina in to disappear.
