Tropes:

  • A Dayinthe Limelight: King Juan el Bobo has a major role in this episode.
  • Birthday Episode: This episode takes place on King Juan el Bobo's mother's birthday party.
  • It Was with You All Along: The titular king forgets how to do things right on his way to the swing to get his crown (such as opening the door, scaring the cocodrilos, doing when someone tells you "corran", what shape you step on to open the gate, making the turkeys laugh, and even saying "Swiper, no swiping!"), so Dora and Boots had to help him do them correctly. At the end of the episode, he realizes that he remembers everything and he can get back home.
  • Meaningful Name: "Bobo" is the Spanish term for "stupid", which makes King Juan el Bobo's eccentric and amnesiac character all the more fitting.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: After he successfully gets the "Swiper, no swiping!" phrase right and prevents Swiper from stealing his crown with Dora and Boots, King Juan el Bobo decides to cheer him up by saying "And Swoopy, no doopy!", which the fox finds hilarious as he leaves.
