Duck Guy: Something's...wrong!

Red Guy seems to be missing and Duck Guy and Yellow Guy seem to not be able to recognise this, although they are very much aware that something has changed. Yellow Guy asks if its the loaf of bread with a face sitting on the counter.

The Loaf starts drumming and mumbling an incoherent song. This cues a group of anthropomorphic food characters, led by a lamb chop, to show up to give increasingly bizarre and self-contradictory advice about eating habits in song. The song is stopped twice by the telephone ringing. Duck Guy answers the telephone, but does not respond to what he hears on the line, while beginning to hallucinate and see himself on a hospital bed. Eventually, he becomes irritated with the band's hypocritical advice and seems to start to realise what’s missing: Red Guy.

Duck Guy runs off-set, knocking over the camera briefly revealing Roy peeking over the set, and wakes up in an operating theatre to find himself split open, a large tin can disembowelling him and eating his organs. Yellow Guy continues following the song, although is a little overwhelmed, and becomes bloated from eating cans of meat labelled with Duck Guy's picture. The episode then ends with him looking over at the ringing phone once again. During the credits sequence, Red Guy is seen dressed in a coat and scarf, walking away from a phone booth carrying a suitcase, revealing that he was the one calling throughout the episode.

Tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Duck Guy finally gets his as he slowly becomes more aware that something is off with their world.
  • Ambiguous Situation: This episode intentionally leaves Red Guy's fate vague. Some details hint that he is flat-out dead, while other details hint that he is simply gone.
  • Balloon Belly: Played for Horror. Yellow Guy is visibly rounder after being forced to eat several cans of Duck's remains. He's lean again by the start of the next episode.
  • Foreshadowing: Duck Guy's eventual death is hinted at multiple times in the episode.
    • The drawn picture on the fridge changing to him with X's over his eyes, symbolizing his death.
    • The steak repeatedly poking Duck Guy with a fork.
    • The steak knocking over the model of the human body, causing it to break in half.
"Oh no, look! It's all broken and on the floor!"
    • The steak slowly, creepily wrapping his arm around Duck's shoulder.
    • The can with Duck Guy's face appearing multiple times throughout the episode.
  • Darker and Edgier: Unlike the first four episodes, this one reveals the horror right at the start. Adding onto it, the episode in general contains a much more claustrophobic and uneasy feeling, complete with Duck Guy's outlandishly gruesome death.
  • A Death in the Limelight: Duck Guy is also brutally Eaten Alive by the end of the episode.
  • The Secret of Long Pork Pies: Duck Guy's remains are canned and fed to Yellow Guy.
  • Wham Episode: Yellow Guy is all alone, now fully aware of the true horror of their world while Duck Guy is killed off and Red Guy's fate still being left uncertain.

Steak: Oh look! There's Mr. Bladder in the basement!
