Recap / Dogs In Space S 1 E 4 Whos A Good Boy

Go To

The Pluto may have found the perfect planet for humanity... if they can deal with the source of a foul-smelling atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Loaf stumbles into the role of a tour guide.

Who's A Good Boy contains examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: The latest planet is another dud, owing to the fact that everyone agrees that Gooey shouldn't be confined to a planet forever to keep it alive. Loaf gets a review of "worst tour ever" from the understandably disgruntled tourists. Nomi, however, is thrilled that the search is on and reunites with her team, Loaf at least proves to himself that he can rise to the occasion if his friends are in danger, and Gooey takes the tour guide ship to explore the stars and make new friends.
  • Both Sides Have a Point: Kira argues that Garbage shouldn't trade the ship for Gooey's planet, because it is Gooey's home. Humans have a habit of taking animals from their natural habitat. Garbage and Stella point out that it's Gooey's choice. In fact, Gooey mentions that he's been wanting to leave for ages and when presented with the tour guide shuttle, he happily takes it and leaves after the dogs are evacuated to safety. Kira doesn't argue when she sees that Gooey was genuinely miserable being alone, and the humans can't live on the planet anyway.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Gooey is all prepared to return to his life of solitude and loneliness, if it means humans can live on his planet. The dogs veto this for two reasons: one is that Loaf already evacuated the Pluto crew, and they can give Gooey the tour guide shuttle so he can explore the stars and make new friends.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: Gooey takes a few seconds to realize that he is the source of the smell. He immediately apologizes to the group. They tell him it's fine, just stop breathing on them please.
  • Wilting Odor: Subverted, although Gooey has a absolutely horrible stench his presence Is what keeps his home planet alive.
