Japanese Title: Decisive Battle! As Long as we Live, We'll Get Back the Digital World
With Cherubimon taking so much data, gravity and space begins to become distorted. The kids realize that this will be their Final Battle, and even Junpei is fine with surrendering his role to help KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon fight. The kids decide to throw a party after the battle is over, Kouichi wishes them luck, and the other kids once again give their Spirits to Takuya and Kouji so that they can hyper spirit evolve. KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon approach the core of the destroyed castle to find Cherubimon as the other kids cheer them on and watch from a distance.
Cherubimon shows KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon the data that he collected from the Digital World and absorbs it, using it to power himself up. KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon go on the attack, eventually managing to make a clean hit on Cherubimon when MagnaGarurumon lures him away and KaiserGreymon hits from behind, but Cherubimon manages to regenerate his wounds and become bigger. He begins to use pieces of structures from the data he absorbed from the Digital World as weapons, but KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon pull themselves together as a light washes over them.
Takuya wakes up in a forest with Izumi, who tells him that they’ve won and that she’s taking him on a date while the other kids hang out in a park. Izumi invites him to sleep more and Takuya decides to get some rest...only to realize that it’s all just a dream and he’s still on the battlefield as KaiserGreymon, while an injured MagnaGarurumon lies near him. The two of them get back up and push on. Cherubimon laughs at them, and the others, hearing him from afar, worry about Takuya and Kouji but continue to have faith in them.
MagnaGarurumon figures out that all of Cherubimon’s attacks have been coming from the top of his head, and since energy attacks won’t work on him, decides to act as a shield while KaiserGreymon goes to stab the top of his head and release the Digital World’s data. They execute the plan, with MagnaGarurumon getting blown back in the process and yelling at Takuya to do it. Cherubimon taunts KaiserGreymon for being the only one left, but KaiserGreymon declares that he’s not alone and that he has his friends. He stabs the top of Cherubimon’s head, releasing the data and defeating Cherubimon. KaiserGreymon scans Cherubimon, briefly returning him to his purified self before he reverts to a DigiEgg, seeing images of Seraphimon and Ophanimon and crying in his last moments.
KaiserGreymon returns to MagnaGarurumon and tells him that they won, and MagnaGarurumon reverts to Kouji and falls unconscious. Takuya carries him on his back and returns to the others, who are overjoyed to see them alive and victorious.
However, the data Cherubimon collected, instead of returning to the Digital World, sinks deep into the earth and is absorbed by someone lurking deep within its core. He says that the data that Cherubimon gathered is bringing the day of his revival closer, and sends his Royal Knights out to the Digital World to do his bidding...
