- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: When investigating Tom's office, Delores and Norman are nearly discovered by a security guard. When they search Dick's salon, they are almost discovered by a maid from his cleaning service. As they look in Harry's office, a security guard and a maid come into Harry's office for some privacy.
- Call-Back: Maria's show is apparently filmed in the The Cord Group's TV studios.
- Embezzlement: Harry has stolen roughly $700,000 from Pamela over the years. Pamela ordering an audit in order to produce her movie threatened to expose him, thus providing his motive.
- Frame-Up: The three husbands frame Pam for the murder in order to get to her money without killing her.
- Inheritance Murder: An indirect sort of way. The three husbands couldn't kill off Pamela, as her will dictates her money to be left to charity, so killing her would have left them squat.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Well, what's more romantic of a spot for a security guard and a maid to have sex in than the office of a lawyer after hours?
- Sex in a Shared Room: Right when Delores and Norman find Harry's motive in his office, a guard uses his keys to bring a maid from the cleaning service into his office to have sex. Since they can't escape via the window again and the closet door is locked with no time to pick it, the duo are stuck hiding under the desk while their... company go at it.
