- Only Sane Man: One of the police officers question if Dexter is Action Hank but the senior cop blows him off by citing his inexperience as to why he's wrong.
- Police Are Useless: The police have a massive attack force surrounding the smugglers, but send in Dexter- whom they've mistaken for Action Hank- inside because said police force only have mustaches.

Ants Pants
- Broken Pedestal: Dexter initially had great respect for ants, but after his visit to the ant colony where he was treated like a slave and made to fight for his life he begins squashing them.
- Friend to Bugs: Dexter, initially. After a trip through the ant farm, he changes his mind.
- Hourglass Plot: The episode begins with Dee Dee wanting to squash some ants and Dexter saying how they are fascinating and meant to be respected. At the end of the episode after their visit to the ant colony, Dee Dee says Dexter was right about the ants being fascinating, while Dexter now begins squashing the ants for how they treated him.
