During the golden age a proud order of weaponsmiths known as the Black Armory has kept their expertly crafted weapons hidden from the outside world. But Ada-1 has taken up shop in the Tower and, reluctantly, requested help from the Vanguard is reclaiming their lost forges, offering their highly specialized weapons in return.
The Black Armory contains examples of:
- The Blacksmith: Spiritually what the Black Armory is about. The Forge activity is supposed to be a Forging Scene, but certainly not the traditional image of that trope.
- Breather Episode: The first of what became known as Seasonal Content, designed to be small adventures rather than major threats. Nothing is really at stake, even the weapons of the Black Armory are not so overpowered as to make their capture a big deal.
- Humongous Mecha: Insurrection Prime, the final boss of the Scourge of the Past Raid, is unique for being a five story tall bipedal mech taking potshots at you.
