Barney comes across the Pauline impersonator from the first episode, apparently stuck their since after being possessed by whatever cornered her in Dead End. She's fallen into mindlessly doing her Pauline impersonation, clearly traumatized by her experience.
Bottle Episode: In-Universe, the Dr. Love show had an episode that took place entirely within the hospital's waiting room.
Cut Short: The Dr. Love show was cancelled after just three episodes.
Demonic Possession: Happens a lot in this episode. It starts when Pugsley possesses Barney to try and help him talk to Logs, since he also said he didn't want to act like himself. Courtney and Norma also have a go, with the former possessing other people just for fun, while the latter lets herself get possessed so she can talk to Barney in the In Between when he doesn't come back when no one is possessing him.
Eyes Are Mental: Characters who are possessed by Pugsley or Courtney have bigger pupils or slitted pupils respectively.
Not Even Bothering with an Excuse: There's a woman who keeps cutting the line whilst coming up with different excuses to go on the ride without waiting; first that she left her bag behind, then that she left her baby behind, then that she picked up the wrong baby. Finally, she just admits that she wants to ride it again.
Running Gag: The woman who keeps coming up with excuses to go on the Dr. Love ride again; the last time she straight up says she just wants to go again.
