Barbara finds out Batman is coming to Metropolis to apprehend a villain, and has the chance to show her stuff to her idol. All she has to do is avoid running into her dad, who's also on the way to help.

- Lethal Joke Item: Robin and Poison Ivy both mock Batgirl for her doll. She seems to have counted on that happening, because it's actually a gas bomb that lets her take out Poison Ivy.
- Mythology Gag: According to this episode, Poison Ivy originally operated in Gotham, and she implies she fought Batman at least once, referencing her status as a Batman villain in the comics.
- Show Within a Show: Princess Pumpkin-Pants, which turns out to also be the source of Jim Gordon's Affectionate Nickname for Barbara.
- Take That!: As Commissioner Gordon points out on this episode, Robin's name has nothing to do with Batman.
