Hell's Kitchen
A man who is allergic to sunlight, and still a little shaken from seeing a neighbor's rotted corpse in his childhood, kidnaps women and drinks their blood, thinking it can make him a daywalker. Reid has been "asked" to move cocaine as it is indistinguishable from laundry detergent until the last second, and decides to take advantage of that.
Tropes:
- Continuity Nod: Reid tells Calvin that he used to play chess with Gideon, and that he died a couple of years ago.
- Contrived Coincidence:
- The UnSub lets Katie try to escape at the same time that the BAU finds his hiding place.
- The guard just happened to walk in seconds after Reid finds Malcolm choking on the heroin-that's-laundry detergent.
- Lucky Seven: The UnSub calls it "perfect seven". He tests his sunlight allergy in segments of seven seconds.
- Shout-Out: Attie is named for Atticus Finch, or at least that's what her sister says. The UnSub mentions that Harper Lee has published another book.
