This just in! Convicted news reporter found dead in his cell!
When last we left the GBPD, they had discovered for certain that Louis Leroux was indeed a member of Ad Astra, and had just learned of his murder. The team arrives at Leroux's prison cell to find that reports are true indeed, as Louis has been blown to pieces.
Tropes:
- An Arm and a Leg: Louis has all four of his limbs blown off in the explosion.
- Booby Trap: The killer bumped off Louis by putting nitroglycerin in the lightbulb of his prison cell that was set off when he turned the bulb on.
- Cliffhanger: The case ends by showing how the rest of Ad Astra escapes jail, defeats the team with their powers, and kidnaps Gloria's family.
- Downer Ending: Ad Astra escapes, kidnapping Gloria's family in the process.
- Facial Horror: If you have the stomache for it, Louis is not a pretty sight....
- Prison Rape: Louis apparently gave his cellmate Willie Redfern some "funny" looks when Redfern bent over in the prison shower, implying that Louis was planning to do this to him.
- Wham Episode: Turns out there is a mastermind behind Ad Astra, and has ordered their deaths due to seeing them no longer usefulness. When the GPD confronts the remaining members about their leader, though, they reveal to have taken the super human serum to grant themselves superpowers and they escape with Gloria's family as hostages.
- Wham Shot: The Ad Astra members having superpowers.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Ad Astra's mastermind ordered the deaths of them due to thinking this, and Louis was the first casualty.
