The player was last seen getting ready to investigate whatever Ad Astra's "Project Supernova" was before hearing an explosion outside of the precinct. When the GPD investigates, they find Mia Loukas, dead in the player's car due to a car bomb.
Tropes
- Corrupt Politician: With Warren being a member of Ad Astra, the Chief notes that could explain why Bateman was released from prison and how Rozetta got permission to build her dome.
- External Combustion: The poor fate of Mia Loukas, and what would have been the player's fate if they had been the one to start the car.
- Evil All Along: Mayor Joe Warren is revealed to be the fourth member of Ad Astra and the one who ordered the hit on the player.
- Irony: Brock was manipulated into planting the car bomb into thinking he could have Mia back if the player was eliminated. Instead, he wounded up killing her instead and ends up separated from her for good.
- Murder by Mistake: During the killer’s arrest, it’s revealed that the intended target of the car bomb wasn’t Mia, it was the player character. Because of this, Brock is sentenced to life in prison.
- Spanner in the Works: Had it not been for Mia's habit of borrowing the player character's car, the player character would've started the car and ended up dead.
- Vehicular Sabotage: The killer snuck in a bomb in the player's car... Unfortunately that lead to it being blown up while poor Mia was in still it.
