Recap / Creep School S 1 E 1 Welcome To Creepschool

Go To

The episode begins with a young boy named Josh getting ready to get on a school bus, bringing him to a new school alongside three other kids, Elliot, Janice and Victoria. After assuring his mother he'll behave, he takes a seat next to Elliot. As they head towards the school, Elliot comments on the strange weather as it suddenly starts to rain. Victoria explains how she'll only be at the boarding school for a month, before she joins her parents over in Singapore, with Janice seeming a bit skeptical of Victoria's claims that her parents won't just leave her at the boarding school.

The kids arrive at a strange place, noting that it isn't the school they were supposed to go to. They decide to investigate the area, and head inside the building to get out of the rain. Victoria is creeped out by the atmosphere, particularly when a mirror suddenly vanishes. Hearing a voice, they go to investigate, and come across a chubby green monster girl who frightens them. They try to escape, but struggle with a moving door handle before going outside.

A boy with a big nose asks them to apologize to the girl, Elvira, not seeing why they would be scared of her. Josh and the others apologize to her, and she pulls three of them in for a hug. The boy realizes that the kids are humans, as Victoria is abducted by a strange shadow. The boy gives the human kids directions.

Meanwhile, in the principal's office, the principal, Malcolm notes that the new students have arrived, and tells his gecko assistant Gilbert to go with him to meet them. Josh, Elliot and Janice come across the two monster kids again, who suggests they stay for a while. Malcolm goes to greet them, and introduces himself and Gilbert. The kids comment on how weird it is to have a lizard working at a school, with Malcolm not seeing anything odd about it. The kids then try to tell him they must've arrived at the wrong place, before Malcolm notes the kids mentioning there were four of them and wondering where Victoria went. Malcolm suggests they look for her, and then come to see him once they find her.

Victoria wanders through a strange white void, with only her echo for company. Back in the school, the humans and the two other students look for Victoria, and Elvira notes she saw some strange shadows earlier and wonders if one might've taken her. They find Victoria's hat, and Janice notes it's a shame they don't have a dog to track her scent. The boy, Casper, suggests they get the help of Bob, who turns out to be a large green monster that behaves similarly to a dog.

A young fairy girl, Elsa, chases after Bob, having been in the middle of trying to give him a bath when Casper called for him. Elsa notices the humans, and they explain the situation. Elsa notes that she too has noticed the shadows moving around lately. Elsa agrees to have Bob help search for Victoria, and Josh notes that out of everyone they've met so far, Elsa's appearance isn't that strange, just before Elsa catches a bug with her prehensile tongue.

In the void, Victoria continues to complain about her situation, only her echo starts talking back to her, noting how bored she is with constantly repeating people talking about how lost they are and wishes somebody would have something interesting for her to repeat for once.

Searching for Victoria, the group find themselves in the kitchen, where the chef, Tony, gives Bob a snack, before the kids resume their search. Bob manages to find the shadow that took Victoria away, and chases after it. Everyone holds onto Bob's leash, allowing them to follow him as he chases the shadow into the void. Victoria argues with her echo, who tells Victoria that no one is going to come looking for her, not even her parents. However, shortly after, the other students show up to save her. Victoria is relieved that the others came for her, noting no one has ever done something like that for her before. They leave the void and return to the school.

The humans ask the other students if strange things happen at the school all the time, and Josh notes that he thinks it sounds pretty exciting, although the other students note that this wasn't even that unusual of a day for them. The humans head to Malcolm's office, and he offers to arrange for them to be transported to the school they were supposed to go to, but the humans ask to give them some time to discuss things. Josh, Elliot and Janice all want to stay, and while Victoria is hesitant at first, she agrees to stay if the others will.
