Craig wants to help Raj sneak his grandmother out of his house.

Tropes:

  • Bilingual Bonus: Focusing on Raj and his grandmother, there's a lot of untranslated dialogue in Gujarati.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Raj's grandma says "Cowabunga baby" and does the same surfer gesture before riding down a ravine.
  • Cool Old Lady: Nila Ba who indulges in having fun times however she can.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Raj admits that he didn't consider how driving his grandmother via wheelchair would work in the all-terrain creekosystem. Though it's downplayed since he and Craig are able to move her around just fine.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Craig, Kelsey, and J.P. all blush when they see how beautiful Raj's dad is.
  • Extremely Protective Child: Ravi, Raj's dad, is very protective of his mother and is constantly monitoring her. It's justified due to her old age and having immigrated from India after her husband's passing.
  • Failed Attempt at Drama: Kelsey and J.P. attempt to copy Raj's dad's dramatic glide out of the bushes but end up falling on their faces.
  • Imagine Spot: One part has Raj's grandma going off a cliff at high speed and getting air...then it cuts and she just rolled down a very small incline.
  • Large Ham: Ravi can be quite dramatic as shown when he chases after his runaway mother.
  • Like Parent, Like Child: Ravi has a knack for singing and encouraged his son to embrace that talent.
  • Meaningful Name: The episode starts with the Stump Trio trying to figure out what to call a new rock they found. But after living through their adventure with Raj and his grandmother, Craig decides to call it Nila Ba's Rock.
  • Moving Angst: Raj believes that his grandmother is suffering through this as she frequently reflects on all the small but wonderful people and things she had to leave behind in India when moving to America.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Raj's grandmother rides her wheelchair down a steep ravine and successfully lands on the other side. Video shot by Kelsey, however, shows her only sliding down a two-foot ditch.
  • Never Heard That One Before: Inverted. Ravi takes pride in J.P. calling him a movie star and his son's reaction suggests that it's not the first time he's heard such a compliment.
  • Plucky Girl: Raj's grandmother was one all her life. She took pride in having fun and doing adventurous stunts with her friends. Even in her old age, she's okay with sneaking out of her room to see Craig's rock.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Ravi is "an absolute smoke-show" of a man who's also a Momma's Boy, enjoys cooking and sings along with his son.
  • The Rival: In her past, Raj's grandma had a sworn nemesis known as Meesha Patel who always came after during Holi.
  • Sleeping Dummy: While Craig and Raj smuggle grandma to the creek, Kelsey and J.P. stay behind to pretend to be her sleeping under the covers. However, they can't agree on who will be the feet and which will be the head, and when Raj's father comes to check on her, he sees three set of feet (J.P. on the bottom, Kelsey and Mortimor on top) and realizes the ruse.
  • Translation: "Yes": Subverted and Lampshaded; When Raj's grandmother gives a long speech about how she feels about him in Gujarati, Craig notices the one phrase he was taught means "love" and tells the others she said she loves him. Kelsey points out she clearly said a lot more than just that.
