The Stump Trio start to worry they'll forget their adventures, and so try to make a time capsule.
Tropes:
- Ambiguous Time Period: Although the show clearly has a modern setting, the exact current year is conveniently obscured: the label on the stump's entrance says "do not open until 20—" with the right end wrapping around out of view, and when Bobby asks What Year Is It? he's just told it's "the past".
- Chekhov's Gag: The time machine that doesn't work just seems like another Noodle Incident joke, but ends up used for a Faked Rip Van Winkle plan.
- Continuity Cavalcade: Most of the items suggested for the time capsule are from previous episodes, though there's a few new incidents mentioned as well.
- Irrevocable Order: After the Stump Kids decide to stop using their base as a time capsule, Bobby refuses to stop guarding it, believing they're just testing it. They make him think ten years have already passed to go away.
- Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: Was there really a genie in the Wish in a Box that gave Cannonball a gold bike and a hero sandwich? Or, as with most of what happens in the Creek, is it just the kids playing make believe?
- No Infantile Amnesia: Parodied; despite J.P. and everyone else forgetting most of their early childhood, he inexplicably claims to remember his own birth.
- Shout-Out:
- Upon being threatened as he's guarding the stump, Bobby brings out a new blue-haired Big Time "form", Big Time Bobby Blue.
- Craig's half-robot disguise resembles GWAR villain Techno Destructo.
- Worthless Yellow Rocks: J.P. is about to crank a "Wish in a Box" when Craig tells him that they can't make any more memories and he stops. As they leave, Cannonball arrives and cranks the box; then from the distance they hear a loud flash and someone say "Your wish is my command!", followed by Cannonball announcing "Wow, a genie!"
