After settling issues on his hub, Flame once again adventures into the multiverse. But the Infernal Machines are also at his destination....
- Androcles' Lion: Flame befriends a Reaper Leviathan when after freeing it from ship debris that was trapping the creature. Justified by the fact he explicitly uses Psychic Powers to calm the creature, so this is likely a residual effect of the powers.
- Didn't See That Coming: Double Subverted - Flame was explicitly given a warning that there was something waiting for him on the other side of the portal. He wasn't expecting the Quarantine Enforcement Platform to simply increase its output and power through his defenses anyways, though.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: Scans from the extinction reveal that Marguerit Maida is still alive in the Artic portion of Planet 4546B, something that players will only find out in the Below Zero expansion of Subnautica.
- Original Character: Some kind of eurypterid-like creatures are added to the Floating Island, with Flame's narration implying they are a type of semi-aquatic herbivore.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Of the survivors of the Aurora crash, CTO Yu, Berkeley, and Second Officer Keen are all confirmed to have avoided their canon deaths, showing up when Flame, Vivian, and Ryley visit the Floating Island. Additionally, the group is able to send a warning out to the Sunbeam, ensuring it won't get obliterated by the QEP when they try to rescue Ryley.
