While attending the wedding of a colleague, the gang finds themselves involved in the murder of the bride’s ex-fiancé, who called off the engagement the night before the ceremony, and was found dead hours later.

- Driven to Suicide: Turns out Dan wasn’t murdered, he committed suicide.
- The Lost Lenore: Melanie, Dan’s first wife who fell into a coma. He never got over her, still holding a torch for her for eight years. He loved her so much, he was willing to leave Anna high and dry the night before their wedding to go back to her, just because he heard she said his name, and even jumped off the balcony when he found out she died.
- Second Love: Subverted and played straight.
- Dan tried to start a “new chapter” with Anna after his first wife, Melanie, fell into a coma for eight years. But he threw that out the window when he got a call saying she had said his name, and dumped his fianceé to go back to her.
- After Dan’s death, Anna actually fell in love with Louie, the Stalker With A Crush who had fallen in Love at First Sight with her, even when she was engaged to someone else. It was their love that made Anna finally understand and forgive Dan for leaving her for Melanie.
- Stalker with a Crush: Even though they barely knew each other, Louie was so in love with Anna that he came to the hotel where she was having her rehearsal dinner and begged her to leave her fiancé for him. As fate would have it, Anna ended up falling for him after Dan died, and the reinvestigation takes place during their wedding. They may have had a messy start, but when you look at their faces, you can tell it’s True Love.
- Runaway Groom: Dan broke off his engagement to Anna the night before the wedding to go back to his First Love.
