When a mysterious new pilot called The Kid starts blowing Numbuh 2 out of the sky, Sector V's pilot and inventor starts pulling out the stops. But is The Kid the real enemy or is there someone else?

Ths episode has examples of

  • Always Someone Better: The Kid is seemingly a superior pilot and engineer compared to Numbuh Two. It's unclear whether he actually is or just using better equipment (he goes down pretty easy once Numbuh Two disables his Deflector Shields and it's easy to call the hit that took him down in that fight a lucky one).
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Hoagie.
  • Disney Death: Numbuh 2 thinks the Kid died when he crashes Mr. Washer's plane, but it turns out he survived the crash.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: When The Kid states that he has to stop Mr. Washer from destroying every chili dog stand in town, Numbuh 2 asks how he's supposed to do that when their planes are destroyed and that there are barely enough working parts from the wreckage to make one plane, they get the idea to build a new plane out of the scrapped parts.
  • Evil Is Petty: Mr. Washer's whole beef against chili dogs is because they keep ruining his clean counter.
  • Foreshadowing: The first time we see Numbuh 2 leave Mr. Washer's store, we can see him briefly scowl at the chili dog left on the counter.
  • I Work Alone: When Numbuh 2 offered to let the Kid into the Kids Next Door, the Kid apparently gave this line.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: The real Villain of the Week was manipulating Numbuh 2 and the Kid into fighting to keep them from his real scheme.
  • Neat Freak: Mr. Washer always cleans his counter every time someone gets food on it. It gets taken to Disproportionate Retribution levels when it's revealed that's his whole motivation for fridge bombing all chili dog locations.
  • Skewed Priorities: When The Kid manages to redirect Washer's aircraft back to his store, all the latter is concerned about is his counter, not the fact that his place of business is about to be destroyed.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: A good majority of this episode involves the various planes crashing and exploding.
  • Trailers Always Spoil: The promo for this episode revealed that Mr. Washer was the villain, how he pitted Numbuh 2 and The Kid against each other, and his plan to destroy every chili dog stand in town.
  • Villain Ball: Mr. Washer's plan to keep his counter clean is to destroy every chili dog stand in town, when all he could have done was just put up a "No food in the store" sign to stop people from getting his counter dirty.
