Numbuh 2 is pitted against "miniature golf" enthusiast Rupert "The Great Puttinski" Putkin in a game of mini-golf, despite the fact that Numbuh 2 has never played mini-golf.
Now loading tropes:
- Basement-Dweller: The Great Puttinski claims to have created the ultimate miniature golf course, but it's really just his mother's basement.
- Didn't Think This Through: Puttinski doesn't seem to realize that he's just going to shrink with the Earth instead of growing bigger than it, considering he's still on it. Seeing as how his goal is to shrink the planet down in order to use it and the universe as his own personal mini golf course, it's safe to assume he didn't by virtue of being batshit insane.
- Disproportionate Retribution: The Great Puttinski tries to kill Numbuh 2 and effectively destroy the Earth and everyone on it because the latter beat him in mini-golf and said the sport was "just a game" and "kinda dumb".
- From Nobody to Nightmare: Rupert goes from being a mere mini-golf enthusiast to a super villain.
- Here We Go Again!: At the end of the episode, Sector V plays a game of ping-pong...with a still shrunken Numbuh 2 as the ball.
- Incredible Shrinking Man: The Great Puttinski shrinks Numbuh 2 as a part of his golf-themed vengeance against him.
- Innocently Insensitive: Numbuh 2 is this towards Rupert's obsession with mini-golf. In fact, what makes Rupert snap is this little unwitting injury-to-insult: despite beating Rupert at the tournament, Numbuh 2 merely shrugs it off as a "kinda dumb" game.
- Insistent Terminology: Putkin gets angry whenever anyone uses the shortened term mini-golf, insisting others call it miniature golf instead.
- Like a Duck Takes to Water: Numbuh 2 has never played mini-golf before, but he manages to best Rupert on his first try.
- Mini-Golf Episode: Numbuh 2 must face off against The Great Puttinski in the sport of mini-golf.
- Serious Business: Rupert Putkin apparently thinks highly of Mini-golf AKA "Miniature Golf".Newscaster: If Putkin can sink this hole, he'll win and restore proper order to the miniature golf universe! If he misses, every ounce of dignity will be stripped from him, and he'll live the rest of his miserable life in disgrace! Let's watch!
- Shout-Out: Rupert Putkin's name is a reference to Rupert Pupkin from The King of Comedy.
- Small Name, Big Ego: Rupert seems to think mini golf is more important in the sports world than it actually is.
- Start of Darkness: The entirety of the episode's first half shines some light on how Rupert became a bad guy. Rupert snaps and becomes the Great Puttinski after Numbuh 2 beats him at a mini-golf tournament.
